Abstract

The accumulation of waste or throwing it carelessly into open areas will result in soil pollution which will also have an impact on groundwater channels. Waste must be handled from the source, namely from producers by applying the 3R principles of Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. Because without public awareness, the basic principles of an environmentally friendly lifestyle such as the 3Rs are difficult to implement and no matter how sophisticated the technology applied, the results will also never be optimal, which ultimately results in wasted budget funds. To provide knowledge and insight to the community about the importance of village cleanliness, hazardous waste management and prevention of infectious diseases, Community Service activities were carried out in socialization and training to the community of Kp. Panggang Serang City Banten. The goal is to foster the character of environmental care in Kp. Panggang. This activity was attended by 41 people and involved 2 students of the Islamic Broadcasting Communication Department, Faculty of Da'wah. The results of the implementation of this PKM activity are expected to add insight to the community of Kp. Panggang regarding environmental cleanliness, waste management and the application of the 3Rs. The results of this activity can be concluded that this PKM activity can add insight to facilitators in Kp. Panggang Serang City Banten, especially regarding waste management and to Foster Environmental Care Character is an initial effort to realize an eco-village through community empowerment starting with handling waste independently through the 3R method.

Abstract

The Ministry of Religion is currently carrying out various strategies to prevent radical religious education and taking anticipatory steps to mainstream moderate religious understanding to anticipate radicalism movements.State Intelligence Agency (BIN) reported in 2017 about 37% of university students from a number of universities in Indonesia had been exposed to radicalism. Based on the data, it was also found that around 24% of university students and 23.3% of senior high school students were in agreement about the establishment of Islamic state in Indonesia. This finding has drawn the concern of PTKIN since it had become the basis for the spread of radicalism among the current millennial generation. PTKIN, as an educational institution and an institution under the Ministry of Religion's auspices, must help convey the value of Islamic insight to its students by teaching them. In the industrial era 4.0, UIN Sultan Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang places a high priority on developing a planned and well-measured approach for infusing Islamic awareness in pupils. The existence of Ma'had al-Jami'ah UIN Maliki is one of the initiatives made, such as publishing an Islamic journal and training a cadre of ulama in public speaking for millennials. Workshops on Religious Moderation and conferences on the notion of Santri Dedication in Indonesian Deradicalization Efforts.

Abstract

This article explores the social movement paradigm in the millennial Muslim generation in the digital era through social media platforms. This research uses the concept of social movement as one of the collective behaviours, making the millennial generation’s social movement a new phenomenon in the Islamic movement in Indonesia. This research uses the Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis (IPA) approach (Roller, 2015; Smith et al., 2009) to understand, analyse, and explore the phenomenon. The socio-religious movement for the millennial Muslim generation through Islamic studies on social media was examined using a qualitative approach. The research findings reflect that the social movement occurs communally, giving birth to a socio-religious movement. The millennial Muslim movement has built a new identity as a religious community that obeys Islamic rules. The social movement intends to make young people close to the Qu’ran, pray on time, actively seek religious knowledge, and spread the message of Islam through social media platforms.

Abstract

This article examines the phenomenon of cancel culture among Muslims in Indonesia, focusing on its manifestation on social media and its impact on divisions and perceptions of Islam. The study highlights prominent cases, including Ahok and Tuan Guru Mizan, which demonstrate how cancel culture fosters polarisation among conservative, moderate, and liberal Muslim groups, while reinforcing negative stereotypes of Islam as intolerant. Using qualitative methods and digital ethnography, I observe and documents the practice of cancel culture through the Trending Topic X and Google Trend features. It explores the dynamics of cancel culture, its implications for freedom of expression, and advocates for a dialogical approach rooted in Islamic values to address these challenges. This study aims to contribute to academic discourse on Digital Humanities within Islamic Studies and underscores the importance of fostering unity within Indonesia’s Muslim society.
