Abstract

Electric bicycles are innovative vehicles that do not require oil refills and other repairs. The government fully supports the use of electric motor vehicles by issuing Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Motor Vehicle Program as Road Transportation, but electric motorcycle sales are still lower than conventional motorcycles. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the intention to purchase an electric motorcycle. This study applies green lifestyle and discounts as exogenous variables that influence intention to buy. This type of research is causal research. Respondents or samples in this study were residents of Sikka Regency who were selected using simple random sampling with sample determination using the Slovin formula resulting in 396 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results of this study indicate that green lifestyle and discounts can influence the intention to purchase an electric motorcycle. With the greatest influence being discounts, customers intend to buy an electric motorcycle if there is a discount, consumers will consider the number of products widely circulated in the market and the benefits provided by the company in providing discounts.
