Abstract

The Jenawi Branch of the Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate, located in Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, is a branch with thousands of members from diverse backgrounds. Despite the large membership, the branch remains a peaceful area, free from conflicts such as brawls. This study investigates the organizational communication strategies employed to enhance solidarity among members of the Jenawi Branch. Using a qualitative research method, this study aims to systematically and factually observe the organizational communication practices that contribute to increasing solidarity within the Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate. The research found that the Jenawi Branch utilizes a vertical downward flow of communication, fostering a type of mechanical solidarity characterized by a strong collective consciousness and shared beliefs and sentiments. The effective implementation of organizational communication within the Brotherhood has successfully maintained and even strengthened solidarity among its members. This study highlights the importance of organizational communication in fostering unity and cohesion within the martial arts organization of Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate, specifically in the Jenawi Branch.
