Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning by using problem based learning. This research is classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were vocational high school students. This research data was obtained using test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The research results show that problem based learning can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completeness in each cycle with details of pre-cycle 40.19%, first cycle 66.87% and in the second cycle it increased to 82.32%. Thus, the use of problem based learning can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning by using sharing and audiovisual media. This research is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this study is junior high school students. The data of this study was obtained by test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze the learning activities of teachers and students. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with research success indicators. The results of the study show that sharing and audiovisual media can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completeness in each cycle with details of 40.19% in the pre-cycle, 65.37% in the first cycle and 89.72% in the second cycle. Thus, the use of sharing and audiovisual media can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding and critical thinking skill in Islamic education learning using the Problem Based Learning model. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data for this study were obtained using test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure the improvement of student learning outcomes in Islamic education learning and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The results of the study indicate that learning using the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' understanding and critical thinking skill in Islamic education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of completeness of improving student learning outcomes in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 49.56%, the first cycle 70.47% and in the second cycle increased to 90.57%. Thus, the use of the Problem Based Learning model can be used as an alternative to increase students' understanding and critical thinking skill in Islamic education learning in Islamic education learning.
