Abstract

Education assessment plays a vital role in determining the quality of education and students' academic performance. This study aims to analyze and compare educational assessment standards in Finland, Japan, and Singapore, exploring their relevance for developing nations. A literature review method was employed, focusing on policies and recent research. The findings reveal that Finland adopts a holistic and stress-free approach emphasizing formative assessment and individual development. In contrast, Japan prioritizes discipline and high academic standards through rigorous examinations, while Singapore utilizes competitive national exams to drive academic excellence. The study highlights that Finland fosters creativity and critical thinking, whereas Japan and Singapore emphasize competitiveness and academic achievement. In conclusion, the differing approaches of these countries reflect their educational priorities. This study offers practical recommendations for developing nations to adopt the best practices from each system to enhance their national education quality.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Tholabul ‘Ilmi Hadith at MI Tahfidz Al-Fathimiyah and its impact on Islamic education. The research aims to understand how the Tholabul ‘Ilmi Hadith is applied in daily life at the institution and its implications for the educational process. A qualitative research method was used, collecting data through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the integration of Tholabul ‘Ilmi in the curriculum of MI Tahfidz Al-Fathimiyah not only enhances students' religious knowledge but also contributes to their character formation. This study contributes by offering a model for implementing Hadith-based Islamic education that is both adaptive and relevant, providing a reference for curriculum development in other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Al-Ghazali's thoughts on spiritual education and its relevance in building the moral foundation of children in contemporary Islamic education. The background of this research focuses on the importance of education in shaping individuals with integrity and the ability to face the challenges of globalization. The method used is a literature study, involving the collection and analysis of literature related to Al-Ghazali's concept of spiritual education. This research examines how Al-Ghazali integrates Sufism and Sharia in the educational system, emphasising the importance of teaching Islamic values, ethics, and manners in daily life. A neurospiritual approach is also used to understand the neurological implications of Al-Ghazali's spiritual education. The results show that Al-Ghazali's thoughts have strong relevance in today's Islamic education, offering deep insights for the development of individual character and morals through spiritual education. These findings are expected to enrich the understanding and practice of a more holistic and scientific Islamic education. In conclusion, Al-Ghazali emphasizes spiritual education as an essential foundation for shaping complete people with noble morals, with a balanced curriculum between religious and worldly knowledge to produce intellectually intelligent and spiritually robust individuals.
