Abstract

This study discusses the role of counseling guidance (BK) teachers in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) as an effort to restore learning due to the pandemic. The Independent Curriculum was introduced as an additional option for education units in learning recovery during the period 2022-2024, with a policy evaluation to be conducted in 2024. One of the main objectives of this curriculum development is to shape students with a Pancasilais profile, in line with national education goals. In this context, counseling teachers have a crucial role as agents of change, prevention, counselors, consultants, coordinators, assessors, and career developers. This research is a literature study that focuses on the importance of the role of counseling teachers in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum to achieve student profiles based on Pancasila values. The results show that optimizing the role of counseling teachers is needed in the successful implementation of this curriculum towards the formation of a Pancasilais generation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of PAK Learning Independence with PBL Model on the Material of My Ability and My Limitations Phase D Class VII. This study used a class action research method carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the research during the two cycles showed, in cycle 1 still did not achieve maximum results this was because students were still new to the PBL learning method with the achievement of 70% results. This situation is also likely to occur because the previous teacher in his teaching used the lecture method during the process of learning activities at school. However, a significant increase occurred in the second cycle of 85%. This shows that if the PBL learning method is applied well and consistently, it will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Interest is a feeling of preference, a sense of attraction, attention and motivation of a person or individual in a particular activity. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the learning interest of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 on the material of the Sacrament of Penance through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning the material, which has an impact on less than optimal understanding of the concept. This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle including the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In each cycle, students are faced with authentic problems related to the material of the Sacrament of Penance. They then work in groups to find solutions to these problems through structured learning activities. The results of the study in cycle I showed that student learning outcomes were still not optimal with an average presentation of grades obtained on all indicators, namely 70.25, including in the developing category according to expectations. This is due to the lack of student understanding of the learning methods applied. While in cycle II there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes with an average presentation of grades obtained for all indicators, namely 88.50, including in the proficient category. In addition, students also showed better abilities in analyzing problems, finding information, and presenting group work results. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model can increase students' interest in learning.
