Abstract

Communication competence in Church ministry is essential for priests and ministers. The overarching argument is that, as a leader and public figures, priests and ministers should be communicative persons in dealing with people around them in different situation. Communication competence is based on the ability to perform an act of communication. It is also people’s ability to appropriately and effectively use communication to obtain a desired outcome or goal. Communication competence is needed also by priest and ministers to be able to recognize the given situation and how to respond it appropriately. However they live in the midst of people society with different cultures, languages, norms, rules. Therefore they are demanded to know more how to communicate and adjust themselves with such situations, and be able to find in them the life meaning. Such ability will help them to increase the quality of encounter or relationship which is applied by the way they speak and deal with others. Abstract

Poverty is the part of life and no one can deny it. In fact, it brings a lot of people to helplessness and discouragement. It causes people to suffer physically and psychologically. People run into the poverty due to the crisis of economic, injustice, extortion, and the existence of social strata (social class). It comes as well to the life of society because of a government system that is not in favor of the community. Poverty is not the new thing of our society. It has become a classic problem experienced by every nation, especially Indonesia. Until now poverty brings a major problem for this nation and it still cannot completely be resolved.Poverty is social and economic problem concerned by Chatolic Church. She is called dan sent to fight for the fairness for the poor. The Church is the voice of the voiceless to help the poor to reach out their better life. She proclaims“option for the poor”as the main mission that should be fought for prosperity and salvation of the people. Therefore, she reminds and encourages all people in society, especially local and national government in order to pay attention to the poor. Economic empowerment of society is one of the most building program that can be realized by both the Church and government to save life of the poor. Key word: Poverty, poor, service of the Church, economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study discusses the meaning of the Eucharistic Celebration as a Celebration of Love for a Catholic family who lives in the parish of St. Joseph Rumah Tiga. This title was taken based on the anxiety that the author experienced while attending the Eucharist celebration where many Catholics today have started not participating in the Eucharistic celebration. This may be due to a lack of understanding of the meaning of the Eucharist itself, and the author feels that all aspects of the life of the faithful are first and foremost in the family where he is educated. With the research method, the research seeks to find out how the people's understanding of the Eucharist celebration itself is and the extent of its influence on the family life of the faithful who live in the parish of St. Joseph Rumah Tiga. And after conducting a series of research in this thesis, it was found that it is not uncommon to be bored in the Eucharistic Celebration itself but this does not reduce the understanding and meaning of the faith of the Catholic family in the parish towards the importance of the Eucharist. most of the families are quite good at understanding and interpreting the Eucharistic Celebration, so that what the author experienced was not carried out by the whole family who lives in the St. Joseph Parish, Rumah Tiga. Abstract

Dewasa ini internet telah menjadi sebuah budaya baru dalam hidup manusia modern. Internet menguasai kehidupan manusia modern sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa manusia modern yang hidup tanpa internet bagaikan “sayur tanpa garam”. Karena itu internet dapat dipandang sebagai sebuah kekakuatan signifikan dalam budaya modern. Tulisan ini membahas karakteristik internet sebagai media perantara dalam budaya modern. Gagasan sentral tulisan ini ialah internet menjadi “budaya perantara” yang merefleksikan dan menghasilkan budaya baru dalam hidup manusia. Dalam konteks komunikasi pastoral, budaya internet menjadi sebuah kesempatan untuk mewartakan Injil, sebagai media untuk mendidik, menginformasikan, mencerahkan dan mempertemukan manusia sekaligus berfungsi sebagai media untuk melayani kebutuhan dan kehidupan seluruh umat manusia.

Abstract

Komunikasi yang sempurna terwujud dalam Trinitas Ilahi. Komunikasi ―intern itu meluas melalui karya penciptaan dan berkomunikasi dengan makhluk-makhluk yang diciptakan, khususnya manusia. Dalam arus komunikasi itu Allah memperkenalkan Diri, dalam perkataan-perkataan para nabi dan terutama dalam diri Putera-Nya Yesus Kristus. Pernyataan Diri yang dilaksanakan oleh Allah melalui karya-Nya, menjadi sangat konkrit dalam segala yang telah Yesus lakukan bagi kita, serta seluruh penampilan-Nya. Demikian pula Para Rasul Allah harus menjadi komunikator yang diutus untuk mewartakan kabar gembira dengan perkataan, namun lebih lagi oleh perbuatan.

Abstract

Komunikasi telah menjadi Aeropagus modern yang mempersatukan umat manusia. Gereja melalui instrusksi pastoral Aetatis Novae menunjukkan kepedulian Gereja yang besar terhadap dunia komunikasi. Kepedulian Gereja ini menunjukkan bahwa Gereja sungguh mengambil bagian dalam sejarah hidup manusia. Apa yang menjadi kegembiraan dan harapan, duka dan kecemasan orang-orang zaman sekarang khususnya tentang komunikasi dan media juga menjadi pergumulan Gereja. Melalui instruksi pastoral ini, Gereja menunjukkan bahwa media masa merupakan sarana komunikasi yang penting untuk menjunjung tinggi harkat dan martabat manusia, dan secara internal untuk kepentingan pewartaan Kerajaan Allah.
