Abstract

This paper examines the Impact of Early Childhood Educators in Promoting Quality ECCE Students in Colleges of Education Jigawa State (Nigeria).  This paper examines the importance of quality education which Nigeria as a nation needs a functional educational system that can equip learners with requisite knowledge, attitudes and skills to enable them relate and adapt successfully to the rapid socio- economic, cultural and political changes in the society. To achieve quality education, Nigeria Government has to recognize the role of Early childhood educators in promoting Quality education to students of Colleges of Education in Jigawa State (Nigeria). The paper recommends that, there is need for creation of conducive teaching and learning environment with the provision of appropriate, well-equipped and adequate laboratories, workshops, classrooms, libraries, staff offices, as well as good and adequate hostel and classroom accommodation, teaching and learning techniques in Colleges of Education of Nigeria.

Abstract

Like other beings, children are only able to learn and develop properly if they are consuming healthy foods, instead of unhealthy empty calories, especially at Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) level. Poor dietary experience will surely affect Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and have a long-lasting effect in the entire life. Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) This study aimed to determine the prevalence of empty calories consumption among Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) attending children in Ringim, Jigawa State, Nigeria. A random sampling procedure was used to select 133 participants. Data was collected using a questionnaire and visual observation. Results showed that 57.9% of the children consumed empty calories, with macaroni, spaghetti, and beverages being the most common types. Thus, the implications of this finding is that, the future leaders (children) are exposed to unhealthy foods at schools, which is a risk that is linked to several deadly disorders such as diabetes, cancers, heart disease, hypertension, malnutrition, and so on. Therefore, the future of the society may be at risk. In this vein, all policies makers including the parents should be educated (informed) about dangers of empty calories to children and means to scuttle escalation of the problem. Indeed, the study highlights the need for nutrition education and interventions to promote healthy eating habits among ECCE attending child.

Abstract

The essence of education in human life is very emphatic. Education or training of human in the course of life begins formally at a stage known as preschool, where kids are enrolled to be coach about the upcoming requirements of life and learning. The significance of this level of learning or training called early childhood education or care is very impressive. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the effects of parental involvement on the academic performance of preschoolers in some selected schools in Ringim Local Government Area, Jigawa State, Nigeria. In terms of methods, a total of 30 preschoolers were selected, therewith, divided as two study groups: Group A (test group) and Group B (control group). Therein, the results revealed that, the children who had previously received parental involvement (according to their records) scored higher mean marks (1009 ± 49) compared to those children who did not receive parental involvement (617 ± 26). In light of the revealing from the findings, it can be concluded that, indeed parental involvement has a significant impact on the academic performance of preschoolers. Ways of ensuring that parent pay more attention to their children at preschools or early child care education shall be devised.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive student worksheets (LKPD) based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that integrate Bojonegoro's local wisdom to improve literacy skills among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students. These worksheets are designed to utilize AI technology in delivering engaging and contextual learning materials that reflect cultural values and local wisdom. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Results showed a 94% validation score, classifying the AI-based interactive LKPD as excellent and ready for use without revision. The worksheets effectively enhanced students’ literacy—especially in understanding and appreciating local content—demonstrated by an N-Gain score of 0.7–0.8 (high category). The classical learning mastery rate reached 93–95%, indicating that the majority of students achieved the set competency standards. Both teachers and students responded positively to the interactive and user-friendly design. Consequently, the AI-based LKPD presents a viable alternative as an innovative learning medium that supports literacy development while preserving Bojonegoro’s cultural heritage.
