Abstract

This study aims to analyze the self-defense mechanism carried out by a character named Luh Sekar in a novel by Oka Rusmini entitled Tarian Bumi and studied in the concept of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method with novels as data sources and data collection tools. The focus of this research is to focus on describing the psychological condition of the main character in the contents of the novel. Data analysis here uses a description of the data in the research process that has been carried out. In this study, a result was also obtained, namely the attitude or mechanism used by the character in solving the problems he had faced. The self-defense mechanisms carried out by the characters include regression, repression, diversion and formation reactions. This is done by the character aims to find a solution to the problem of the character to solve all the problems experienced. The conclusion of this study is that the self-defense mechanism of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory explains the self-defense carried out by the character Luh Sekar in maintaining his self-image from all the many problems that exist.

Abstract

This research aims to reflect and describe the social life of a lesbian prostitute or commonly called a prostitute in Maman Suherman's novel Re and Perempuan using Alan Swingewood's theory of literary sociology and the role of literary sociology itself. In this research the author used descriptive analytical methods in researching existing problems. The data sources used are the novel by Maman Suherman entitled Re and Perempuan, research journals and other reference sources. The results of data analysis show that there is an analysis of the main characters: Re, Symbol of Hope and Change, Themes of Suffering and Redemption, and the Role of Literary Sociology in Social Reflection in the novels studied. This research also succeeded in revealing deep social reflections in a literary context through the life story of Re, a commercial sex worker, and her daughter Melur, depicting complex social realities, especially in the context of marginalization, identity and social struggle.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how Indonesian Language Program students contribute to Indonesian literature through the Nusantara Literature curriculum. This research focuses on students' experiences, motivations, knowledge, and skills in influencing literature through Nusantara Literature. This research also reveals that the majority of students have a strong interest in literature, despite not having a strong background in literature. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Qualitative descriptive research is research that. This research uses questionnaire data analysis which aims to describe students' experiences and perceptions in writing folklore. The subjects of this research were students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Students who became research subjects amounted to 28 people. The data collection techniques in this study are divided into two, namely primary data collection and secondary data. The data analysis technique in this research is thematic analysis to identify patterns from the questionnaire responses. This knowledge helps students understand local culture, improve their writing skills, and motivate them to be actively involved in literature through the Nusantara Literature curriculum. This research also highlights the importance of knowledge about literature, including its development, structure, and differences with modern literature. Students understand that literature is a unique component of the country's culture and history, and serves as a medium to teach moral and traditional values. The research also highlights the importance of creativity and motivation in literature, as it helps students develop ideas, understand the challenges of writing, develop their own genres, and motivate themselves to engage in literature. This leads to improved quality and creativity in writing, which ultimately contributes to the development of the Indonesian language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai aspek sastra perjalanan dalam tiga puisi dari pengarang ahmad T - Bacco. Di dalamnya menjelaskan puisi merupakan ragam sastra Bahasa terikat oleh irama, matra, rima, serta penyusunan larik dan bait. istilah "sastra perjalanan" dapat diartikan sebagai kisah-kisah perjalanan yang dituturkan oleh individu maupun kelompok ketika mereka menghadapi tempat yang baru. Karya-karya travelogue biasanya berisi gambaran yang cukup detail mengenai pengalaman dan persepsi penulis terhadap sebuah tempat. Sastra seperti ini tidak dimaksudkan untuk memberi informasi-informasi pragmatis tentang sebuah tempat yang dikun- jungi melainkan memberikan sebuah deskripsi tentang kebudayaan dan masyarakat lewat pengamatan dan persepsi penulis. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah antologi langit ait langit basah karya T - bacco. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aspek aspek dalam sastra perjalanan yang terdapat dalam antologi puisi langit air langit basah karya ahmad j-bacco. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis dan studi pustaka. Dalam setiap puisi tersebut memiliki empat aspek yang sama yaitu self (diri), other (orang lain), movement (pergerakan), space (tempat dan waktu). Walaupun memiliki aspek yang sama disetiap puisi tersebut tetapi masing masing puisi memiliki kekhasan yang yang berbeda beda dan masih memiliki keterkaitan satu sama lain.
