Abstract

The development of information technology has fundamentally transformed maritime transportation management, particularly in ship tracking and monitoring systems. This research aims to design a ship tracking information system for PT. Bintang Khatulistiwa Internusa through a systematic library research approach. The research method involves a systematic literature review analyzing scientific publications from 2020-2024, using content analysis and meta-synthesis techniques. Research findings reveal that modern tracking systems require complex technology integration such as GPS, GIS, IoT, big data analytics, and machine learning. The system architecture is designed to provide comprehensive visibility, optimize operations, and enhance maritime safety. Contemporary tracking technology can reduce operational costs by up to 25%, provide predictive analysis, and support strategic decision-making. Phased implementation considering technological infrastructure, human resources, and digital culture is key to system transformation. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions to developing innovative and responsive ship tracking information systems. Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mengubah fundamental manajemen transportasi maritim, khususnya dalam sistem pelacakan dan monitoring kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi tracking kapal untuk PT. Bintang Khatulistiwa Internusa melalui pendekatan library research sistematis. Metode penelitian mencakup systematic literature review dengan menganalisis publikasi ilmiah pada rentang 2020-2024, menggunakan teknik content analysis dan meta-synthesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem tracking modern memerlukan integrasi teknologi kompleks seperti GPS, GIS, IoT, big data analytics, dan machine learning. Arsitektur sistem dirancang untuk memberikan visibilitas komprehensif, mengoptimalkan operasional, dan meningkatkan keamanan maritim. Teknologi tracking kontemporer mampu menurunkan biaya operasional hingga 25%, menyediakan analisis prediktif, dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan strategis. Implementasi bertahap dengan memperhatikan infrastruktur teknologi, sumber daya manusia, dan kultur digital menjadi kunci transformasi sistem. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam pengembangan sistem informasi tracking kapal yang inovatif dan responsif.
