Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of learning Arts, Culture, and Crafts (SBdP) on the subject of woven artwork and analyze how these activities can develop students' creativity in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 4 Prambatan Kidul with a fifth-grade teacher and all fifth-grade students, totaling 25 people. This study serves to determine how SBdP learning develops the creativity of elementary school children. The results show that SBdP learning on woven artwork material is implemented through several stages, namely explaining basic concepts, introducing woven motifs, showing videos of the weaving process, and direct practice using paper materials. Students showed high enthusiasm, actively asked questions, and produced works with a variety of motifs and colors. Practice-based and visual learning helps students understand art concepts concretely which can foster creativity. Thus, SBdP learning on woven material can be an effective means to foster creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning of third-grade elementary school students. The objective of the research is to analyze whether there is a significant difference in student achievement before and after the implementation of the PBL model. The research used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 21 third-grade students at SDN 1 Dersalam. Data were collected through pretest and posttest tests and analyzed using normality tests, Wilcoxon tests and N-Gain calculations. The results of the normality test showed that the pretest and posttest data were not normally distributed, so the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.035 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The N-Gain analysis showed an average of 0.2963 which is classified as low to moderate, with a score variation from -1.00 to 1.00. This indicates an increase in learning outcomes for most students, although not evenly distributed. This finding is supported by observations in the classroom that show an increase in active student participation in discussions and problem solving, so that the application of the PBL model remains effective in encouraging improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

The kretek industry is one of the most important cultural and economic heritages in Indonesia, especially in the Kudus area, Central Java. Kretek cigarettes, a unique blend of tobacco and cloves, were first discovered as a medicinal herb by Haji Djamari in the late 19th century. This study aims to identify and analyze the cultural values contained in the folklore and review its relevance in children's literature education. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques in the form of observing and taking notes on the folklore text, data obtained from the book Cerita Rakyat Pesisir Timur by Muhammad Kanzunudin. The results of the study show that this story has a strong educational function and is able to shape the local cultural identity of children in Kudus. The conclusion of this study is that the story of the Origin of the Kretek Industry has a strategic role as a medium for learning cultural values and needs to be integrated into children's literature learning to preserve local cultural heritage.
