Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the tourism attraction potential of Cilengkrang Tourism Village in Bandung Regency. The village possesses diverse tourism potentials, including natural beauty, cultural richness, and man-made attractions such as bamboo crafts and coffee products. The research employs observation, in-depth interviews, and SWOT matrix analysis to evaluate tourism potentials and formulate development strategies. The findings reveal that cultural potential, such as Benjang Art, holds the highest development priority, followed by natural attractions like Cilengkrang Waterfall and Padaemut Hill, as well as man-made products like Manglayang Coffee SMEs. Recommended strategies include improving accessibility, providing technology training for locals, establishing community-based tourism organizations, and strengthening disaster mitigation efforts. The implications indicate that local community involvement, particularly among youth, and support from local governments are crucial for sustainable tourism management. This study provides new insights into tourism village development based on local potential, while opening opportunities for further research on the economic, social, and environmental impacts of tourism management.

Abstract

This study addressed the need to transform conventional gastronomy tourism into an educational medium for environmental resilience. The research aimed to explore how gastronomy tourism in the Cireundeu Indigenous Village internalized local food security values for tourists through a somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual learning approach. Utilizing a qualitative method with an interactive data analysis framework, the study collected data through participant observation and in-depth interviews. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, involving the traditional leader, community figures, and women’s group representatives. The results demonstrated that the indigenous community's philosophy regarding the historical transition from rice to cassava was successfully transformed into a holistic educational experience. The research mapped thirteen cultural expressions into four learning dimensions. Tourists experienced physical involvement through cassava processing, absorbed historical narratives, observed traditional rituals, and constructed an understanding of food sovereignty. In conclusion, the somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual approach effectively deepened tourists' understanding of food diversification and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

As sustainability becomes increasingly important in tourism industry. Destinations are expected to communicate sustainability values effectively through digital channels. However, existing studies on sustainability communication and digital marketing provide limited guidance on how sustainability can be systematically integrated into digital campaign planning. This study aims to develop a framework for integrating sustainability into digital campaign planning for tourism destinations. Using a Design Science Research approach, Chanaya Resort Bandung was employed as a case study. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis, followed by stakeholder validation involving academic, industry, and destination representatives. The study resulted in a Sustainable Digital Campaign Framework consisting of four interconnected layers: Strategic Foundation, Campaign Design, Campaign Execution, and Campaign Evaluation. The framework integrates audience persona and sustainability value as key inputs for developing campaign objectives, narratives, content strategies, activation activities, and evaluation mechanisms. Validation results indicate that the framework is relevant, practical, and applicable for tourism destinations. This study contributes to sustainable tourism marketing by providing a structured approach for translating sustainability values into digital communication and campaign planning.
