Abstract

Children's and adolescent literature are two genres in literature that are different in terms of their goals, themes and writing. Children's and youth literature in Indonesia has become an interesting subject in literary studies. So, the aim of this research is to determine the influence of children's and youth literary works in forming character. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research design. Then the researcher carried out an analysis of fables in children's literature and novels in youth literature. The results of the research show that children's literature and youth literature have an influence on character formation. Literary works have many uses and benefits for life. Apart from that, literary works are useful because they can be a recreational means for readers and viewers, and the process of enjoying them will bring calm and maturity to the soul through studying the contents of literary works. In this way, the moral messages, attitudes, behavior and personality depicted in literary works will give rise to a full soul in them, which will ultimately lead the learner to change the character values of children and adolescents.

Abstract

The dynamics of power in poetry during the era of modernization in the era of globalization, statistical studies are analyzing that focus on how power is expressed through poetry in the context of the era of globalization. The background to this problem involves how poetry as an art form can be used to express power in various forms, including social power, cultural power, and political power. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which is a research method for collecting data in the form of descriptive narratives both verbally and in writing. The results of this research show that power in poetry in the era of modernization in the era of globalization of stylistic studies can be seen in various ways. Social power can be expressed through poetry that expresses the experiences and views of people from various social and cultural backgrounds. The power of culture can be seen in poetry which describes how culture and traditions are applied in everyday life. Political power can be expressed through poetry that expresses different political views and aspirations. The aim of this research is to understand how power is expressed through poetry in the era of globalization and how poetry can be used to express power in various forms. Thus, it is hoped that this research can contribute to a deeper understanding of how poetry can be used as a means of communication and expression in an increasingly complex and dynamic era of globalization.

Abstract

Diponegoro's poetry by Chairil Anwar is a literary work that has high aesthetic value. This poem also has high aesthetic value using beautiful words and harmonious rhythm. In this study, we conducted a critical analysis of the work to explore the aesthetic values contained therein. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method which is used to describe and illustrate existing phenomena, both natural and human engineering. The data collection technique used was an open questionnaire. The aim of writing an article about the story of Diponegoro's struggle in Chairil Anwar's poetry is to explore and reveal the meaning and values contained in the story. Apart from that, this article also aims to introduce Indonesian literary works to the wider community, especially the younger generation, so that they can better appreciate and understand the nation's cultural heritage. By discussing the story of Diponegoro's struggle through Chairil Anwar's poetry, it is hoped that we can feel the strength and fighting spirit that radiates from this national hero.

Abstract

Literature plays an important role in shaping people's thoughts, values, attitudes, and ethics in self-reflection. The purpose of this study is to analyze how ethical values transmitted through pantun affect the process of individual personality development, both psychologically, socially, and morally. This article analyzes the dynamics of ethics through Asriadi's educational pantun in the context of daily life, with an emphasis on self-reflection. This research uses a qualitative approach with a text analysis method. The analysis shows that the pantun contains moral messages relevant to ethics, such as self-introspection, humble attitude, personal responsibility, avoiding blame, and good self-awareness. This research has practical implications in increasing awareness and application of ethics in daily life.

Abstract

Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana, an Indonesian literary figure, captivates audiences not only with his beautiful language but also with the deep messages embedded in his pantun, a form of traditional Malay poetry. Pantun by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana displays themes related to the past and present. In this analysis, we will focus on the dynamics of the structure and meaning contained in Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana's pantun. This analysis employs a literary criticism approach to understand the meaning of the pantun. Using critical literary analysis, this article aims to reveal the dynamic interaction between structure and meaning in Alisjahbana pantun, highlighting its artistry and the potential of pantun as a medium for conveying deep messages.
