Abstract

A buck converter is a circuit that functions to reduce DC-DC voltage which is often used in various electronic applications. The aim of this research is to design and implement a buck converter circuit that utilizes the LM2596 IC. The research methodology includes circuit design and practical testing. The research results show that circuit testing was carried out with input voltage variations of 10V, 15V, and 20V, which produced stable output voltages of 6.68V, 6.71V, and 6.78V respectively.

Abstract

An automatic plant watering system employing the Arduino Uno was developed to optimize water usage in agriculture. This system utilizes a soil moisture sensor to assess soil moisture levels and regulate the water pump automatically via a relay. The objective of this research is to devise a system that is efficient, reduces superfluous water usage, and ensures adequate moisture for plants. The experimental results demonstrate the system's capacity to adjust the watering schedule of plants in accordance with soil moisture conditions, exhibiting a rapid response time and minimal energy consumption.

Abstract

This community service project aims to improve the quality of street lighting around the Waringin Tunggal Studio, located in Soneyan Village, Pati Regency. As part of efforts to improve community comfort and safety, this project focuses on addressing the issue of inadequate lighting that can impact community activities, particularly at night. Inadequate lighting around the studio creates discomfort and reduces the sense of security for both studio users and the local community. The project began with a thorough inspection of the lighting conditions around the studio. The next step was to design technical solutions to improve the existing lighting system, including increasing the number of lamps and using more efficient types of lamps in terms of energy consumption and light distribution. Furthermore, good collaboration with village officials and other relevant parties was crucial for the smooth implementation of this project. The improvement process was carried out with a focus on energy efficiency and durability, ensuring long-term benefits. The results of this project showed a significant improvement in the quality and coverage of lighting around the Waringin Tunggal Studio. This improvement not only increased comfort but also increased the sense of security for studio visitors and the surrounding community. Access to the studio at night has become easier and safer, positively impacting the arts and cultural activities held there. A post-event evaluation showed increased community participation in the studio's evening events. This success demonstrates that improved lighting can encourage community participation in community activities. Going forward, it is hoped that this activity can be enhanced by utilizing renewable energy, such as solar power, to ensure optimal lighting even during power outages, thus ensuring the desirability of this activity in the future.

Abstract

An automatic water level controller mechanism in a water tank is needed to maintain the availability of water supply. One way is to create a control system that uses an ultrasonic sensor as a detector of the water level that is fed back to the water tank filling pump. To minimize fluctuations in sensor readings, a mechanism is needed to minimize the occurrence of water ripples. To provide easy information to users on site, a monitoring system in the form of an LED indicator is also added that informs the condition of the water level in the water tank. Therefore, in this study, a tool will be created that can automatically control and monitor the water level based on Arduino Uno which uses an ultrasonic sensor and LED indicator with a wave ripple holder

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital era requires human resources to not only master software, but also understand hardware infrastructure. This community service program aims to improve the technical competence and digital literacy of the people of Pati Regency through a PC assembly and optimization workshop. The method used is the Participatory Action Learning Sistem (PALS), in collaboration with "Pati Tech" as an industry partner, and utilizing the campus computer laboratory as a training center. Activities consisted of orientation, planning, and hands-on practice in PC assembly. The results of the community service program showed a significant increase in the technical skills of participants, as reflected in the average pre-test score of 52.5 which increased to 86.4 in the post-test. Participants are now able to assemble and optimize sistem independently. The implication of this activity is the formation of independent digital talents who can manage digital infrastructure, which is expected to support the development of the local creative economy in Pati Regency. This program contributes to improving technological skills relevant to the needs of the digital market.
