Abstract

In every age there will appear scholars who always guard the religion of Allah from enemies of religion who want to destroy and mislead Muslims from the teachings of their true religion, and among the scholars who continue to guard the religion of Allah with their works is Habib Abu Bakr al-Adni Al-Masyhur. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Intellectual Biography of Habib Abu Bakr al-Adni Al-Masyhur. This study uses qualitative research methodology through literature review from primary sources in the form of the works of Habib Abu Bakr al-Adni Al-Masyhur and his Disciples. and secondary sources relevant to this theme. The results showed that Habib Abu Bakr al-Adni Al-Masyhur was one of the Islamic intellectuals who maintained dynamism and revived religious moderation through his intellectual works.

Abstract

The rapid and easy access to news in modern societies around the world, particularly news that showcases the lifestyles of advanced nations, has led to a shift in the lifestyle of modern communities. Consequently, the issues faced by modern societies have become increasingly complex. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of Syakib Arsalan’s thinking in addressing the challenges of modern society. The study employs qualitative research methodology through a literature review of primary sources, specifically Syakib Arsalan’s work titled “Limadza Ta’akhoro al-Muslimun Wa Limadza Taqoddama Ghoiruhu,” as well as relevant secondary sources. The research findings indicate that by applying Syakib Arsalan’s ideas, reviving the spirit of jihad—both in terms of material wealth and personal commitment—can lead to the realization of a modern Islamic community that consistently embodies the spirit of jihad.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Arab cultural elements into Arabic language education in Indonesia, focusing on its impact on student engagement, vocabulary acquisition, and communicative competence. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with Arabic teachers, focus group discussions with students, and document analysis. The findings reveal that incorporating cultural elements—such as traditional Arabic greetings, oratory practices (khitabah), poetry, culinary activities, and religious expressions—enhances student motivation, lowers anxiety, and fosters a more immersive and meaningful learning environment. The study concludes that integrating cultural content is not merely an aesthetic addition, but a pedagogical necessity that promotes contextualized and emotionally resonant Arabic language instruction. This research contributes to a growing body of literature advocating for intercultural and humanistic approaches in Arabic language pedagogy, particularly in non-Arabic-speaking contexts such as Indonesia.
