Abstract

Amidst economic and market dynamics, various business sectors, including banks, confront challenges that can lead to financial distress or potential bankruptcy. This distress is influenced by various factors, among which is the health level of banks. This research aims to provide empirical evidence on the influence of bank health level, assessed by the RGEC method, on financial distress. The independent variables include Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital, while the Altman Z-score measures financial distress as the dependent variable. Focused on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2022, this research utilized a purposive sampling approach, selecting 29 samples and totalling 87 data sourced from financial statements and annual reports, which underwent analysis via multiple linear regression using Eviews version 12. The results show that the Risk Profile and Good Corporate Governance do not have a significant influence on financial distress. Meanwhile, Earnings and Capital have a positive and significant influence on financial distress. This research can serve as an early warning for management regarding bankruptcy risks and provide insights for banks regulators and policymakers to fortify risk management practices and strategize adjustments to mitigate the risk of financial distress.

Abstract

Firm value is a ratio used to describe the value owned by a company. This ratio provides information related to management's effectiveness in managing the company. Firm value is one of the key pieces of information that influences managers and investors in making economic decisions. This study aimed to provide empirical proof concerning the influence of CSR disclosure, profitability, size, and leverage towards firm value. This study focuses on energy and consumer non-cyclical companies that are listed in IDX. A purposive sampling method was employed to retrieve the sample. 32 companies were selected over three consecutive years, from 2021 to 2023, resulting in a total of 96 data. Eviews 12 software program was utilized to process the data. The research utilized a multiple linear regression model for hypothesis testing. The appropriate estimation model for multiple linear regression was the Random Effect Model (REM). Findings indicated that CSR disclosure, size, and leverage did not significantly affect on firm value, whereas profitability exerted a substantial positive influence on firm value. This study expanded the understanding of factors that influence company value and helped managers take concrete steps to enhance firm value, such as focusing efforts on improving profitability. Additionally, it assisted investors in analyzing factors that affect company value, especially the company's profitability potential, to make informed investment decisions.

Abstract

The company's governance enables it to be regulated and overseen in order to adhere to the law, stakeholder expectations, and relevant business ethics and standards. For the firm to survive and prosper in the long run, the board of directors, which makes the majority of the decisions, chooses the company's strategic course. As a result, in order to motivate the board of directors to enhance financial performance, it is essential to secure their wellbeing by paying them. In addition to salary, the board of directors' expertise and education in business and finance are probably going to be a factor in enhancing Indonesian banks' financial performance. The aim of this study is to demonstrate empirically the relationship between the financial performance of Indonesian banks and the board of directors' experience, business and financial education, and salary. The research sample consists of banking businesses from 2019 to 2023, and the research methodology is quantitative description utilizing annual report data. The Eviews-12 software tool aids in this study by generating 155 observation data that can be processed. According to the study's findings, the bank's financial performance has been demonstrated to be improved by the board of directors' salary. The business and financial education of the board of directors cannot enhance or detract from the bank's financial performance. The same results have been shown by the board of directors' experience, which can enhance the bank's financial performance.

Abstract

Abstract To avoid the spread of fault in an area where fault occurs, a protective equipment is needed. One of the protection equipment to avoid the spread of such fault is the Ground Fault Relay (GFR). The goal of this research was to determine the current and working time of the earth fault current protection relay on the 20 KV feeder. This research method is a research method by means of observation, data collection and testing and analysis for the current and working time of the earth fault current protection relay. The place for data collection is at the PLN Sei Rotan Substation, which is located at Jalan Medan Batang Kuis Km. 11, Lr. VII, Sei Rotan. testing the characteristics of the pick-up current and reset/drop off current on the 20 KV side obtained a do/pu of 96% and is in the good category for the system, while testing the working time of the GFR relay when the fault current is 0.47 A; 0.705 A and 1.175 A respectively the relay working time is 1.107s; 0.693 s and 0.470 s and these results are in accordance with the standard inverse. The working time of the ground fault relay on the incoming side of 20 kV is faster than the working time of the ground fault relay on the 150 kV primary side. This is because the interference on the incoming side does not spread to the 150 kV primary side so that the interference can be isolated as small as possible. if the test results are not in accordance with the test standards, it is advisable to replace the relay immediately to maximize system performance. Keywords: OCR, GFR, proteksi, inverse Abstrak Untuk mencegah meluasnya gangguan pada suatu area yang terjadi gangguan maka di perlukan suatu peralatan proteksi. Abstract

The important role of banks as financial institutions tasked with collecting and distributing funds in the form of loans to the public aims at economic growth and the improvement of social welfare. In the big bank war, public trust is needed to save money in banks whose health is the top priority. To examine the health of your bank, you can use the Nonprofit Lending Ratio (NPL) analysis. The following applies. The lower the bad debt amount, the lower the credit risk borne by the bank and the better the financial performance of the bank. The purpose of this study is to empirically prove how the level of credit risk as measured by NPL ratio reduces or increases the financial performance of Bank Indonesia as measured by ROA and ROE. The study design is a descriptive quantitative approach. The study population includes all banking companies listed on the IDX for the period 2018-2021. The study sample used a sampling technique using a targeted sampling technique with a sample of 176 observations. This study uses panel data regression starting with model testing, classical assumption testing, and statistical testing. Statistical t-test results show that high bank credit risk can affect financial performance. Our contribution is for Management can work to raise the bank's health level by increasing third party funds (DPK), which will encourage clients to maintain their money in the institution, so raising the bank's health level to a healthy condition. Banks employ a variety of techniques, such as developing new innovations to boost customer security while also paying close attention to the issue of customer accessibility to raise customer pleasure, which in turn has an impact on boosting customer loyalty.
