<![CDATA[Mind mapping is a visual note-taking method that combines symbols, colors, and shapes to help the brain absorb information more effectively than conventional notes. This method allows students to develop thinking, understand lesson concepts, and recall material without memorization. With mind mapping, students can think actively, solve problems, and practice critical thinking skills without being tied to a sequence of instructions from the teacher. This study aims to analyze the effect of applying the mind mapping method on students' critical thinking skills. This is motivated by the tendency of teachers to use the lecture method more often in the learning process, which has the potential to reduce students' participation and critical thinking skills. This research method uses a type of quantitative experimental research in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest, with a sample size of 18 fifth-grade students of MI Islamiyah Kepoh Bojonegoro. The research instrument used a pretest-posttest, which was tested using validity and reliability tests. Data collection techniques took the form of test questions in the form of descriptions, specifically on economic activity material. Data were analyzed through hypothesis testing, namely a normality test using Shapiro-Wilk, then a t-test using paired sample t-test and product moment correlation test assisted by SPSS version 16. The results of the study in the form of pretest scores obtained an average of 56, with the highest score of 74 and the lowest score of 36. The results of the posttest scores, after being treated with the mind mapping learning method, averaged 81.11, with the highest score of 92 and the lowest score of 70. So it is concluded that there is an increase from the pretest and posttest scores of 44.84%. The hypothesis test result is 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In addition, the calculated t value (14.726) is greater than the t table (2.101), so H0 is also rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the mind mapping method has a significant influence on the critical thinking skills of grade V students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamiyah Kepoh Bojonegoro. ABSTRAK Mind mapping adalah metode pencatatan visual yang menggabungkan simbol, warna, dan bentuk untuk membantu otak dalam menyerap informasi lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan catatan konvensional. Metode ini memungkinkan siswa untuk mengembangkan pemikiran, memahami konsep pelajaran, dan mengingat materi tanpa menghafal. Menggunakan mind mapping, siswa dapat berpikir secara aktif, mengatasi masalah, dan melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis tanpa terikat pada urutan instruksi dari guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan metode mind mapping terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan guru yang lebih sering menggunakan metode ceramah dalam proses pembelajaran, yang berpotensi menurunkan daya partisipasi serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen kuantitatif bentuk One Grup Pretest-Postest, dengan jumlah sampel 18 siswa kelas V MI Islamiyah Kepoh Bojonegoro. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest yang diuji menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa soal tes berbentuk uraian, materi Kegiatan Ekonomi. Data dianalisis melalui uji hipotesis yaitu uji normalitas menggunakan Shapiro Wilk, kemudian uji t menggunakan paired sample t test dan uji korelasi product moment berbantu SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian berupa nilai pretest didapatkan rata-rata 56 dengan nilai tertinggi 74 dan nilai terendah 36 Adapun hasil nilai posttest setelah diberi perlakuan berupa metode pembelajaran mind mapping dengan rata-rata 81.11 dengan nilai tertinggi 92 dan nilai terendah 70 . Maka disimpulkan jika terdapat peningkatan dari nilai pretest dan posttest sebanyak 44,84%. Hasil uji hipotesis adalah 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Selain itu nilai t hitung (14,726) lebih besar dari t tabel (2,101), sehingga H0 juga ditolak. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode mind mapping memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa kelas V di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamiyah Kepoh Bojonegoro.]]>
