Abstract

This research aims to determine the social criticism contained in the drama script "Musikal Candidate Arang" by Dolfry Indwa Suri. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with an objective approach as the approach. The stages carried out in preparing this research, the researcher read the drama script "Musikal Calon Arang" by Dolfry Inda Suri first, then the researcher analyzed the intrinsic elements. Then the researcher categorized the parts of the drama script that referred to aspects of social criticism. The results of this research found that there is social criticism in aspects of crime, namely 1) abuse of power and 2) punishment and justice.

Abstract

Business activities that are now widely carried out by business actors are not free from competition. This competition sometimes leads to breaking the law in order to achieve maximum profits. They even carry out unfair competition/unhealthy competition. This unhealthy business competition will harm the public interest. This competition is now widespread in business activities in Indonesia and other countries in general. Although before the issuance of Law no. 5 of 1999, in fact the regulations regarding unfair business competition are based on article 1365 of the Civil Code regarding unlawful acts and article 382 bis of the Criminal Code.
