Abstract

The application of Tarbawi's Tafsir principles in the formation of Islamic personalities in schools is a strategic effort to integrate the values of the Qur'an and Hadith in students' character education. Tafsir Tarbawi, which emphasizes the development of noble morals and strong faith, aims to form students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have noble Islamic character. This article examines various ways to apply the principles of Tarbawi Tafsir in the educational environment, including by instilling correct aqidah values, introducing noble morals through teaching the Koran and Hadith, and using interactive and contextual learning methods to connect Islamic teachings with students' daily lives. Tarbawi Tafsir-based learning also invites students to apply Islamic teachings in daily behavior, both at school and at home. In this research, a qualitative approach was used with literature studies and observations in several schools that implemented Tafsir Tarbawi. The results showed that the application of this principle in schools succeeded in increasing students' understanding of Islamic teachings, as well as strengthening their character in facing life's challenges. Collaboration between teachers, parents and the community is also very important to create an Islamic educational environment and support the development of students' personalities. Overall, the application of Tafsir Tarbawi has great potential in forming a young generation with noble character and an Islamic personality.

Abstract

Faith education is the instillation of faith and divine values by someone who has more religious experience and has weak faith qualities in order to become stronger. The importance of faith education requires teaching the faith exemplified by Luqman to be imitated by all parents and educators. Parents and educators have an obligation to foster a comprehensive understanding of the faith and teachings of Islam from the beginning of its growth, so that children will be bound by Islam, both aqidah and worship. And with this faith education, it is hoped that children will only know Islam as their religion, the Qur'an as their Imam and Rasulullah SAW as their leader and example. Things that destroy faith are shirk, namely equating other than Allah with Allah in things that are His privilege and riddah means leaving the teachings of Islam, the perpetrator is called an apostate. Every Muslim is obliged to protect his Islam and protect it from things that damage, cancel and break his Islam. Mufasir's views on faith education contained in QS. Luqman verse 13 tells the story of Luqman al-Hakim, a wise father, who really emphasized the importance of instilling monotheism in his children. Zakiyah Drajat emphasized that building strong faith should start in the family, from the time the child is born and even before birth until the end of adolescence. If childhood neglects education, it will be difficult for children to face changes in themselves, as a result it often brings emotional shock.

Abstract

Islamic education from a tarbawy perspective has a strategic role in shaping the character of individuals who have faith, morals and intellectual skills in the era of globalization. Globalization has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including education. The rapid flow of information, cultural changes and technological developments require the Islamic education system to adapt without losing its fundamental values.  This research discusses how tarbawy-based Islamic education is able to face the challenges of globalization with a holistic and integrative approach. Islamic education not only focuses on cognitive, but also spiritual, emotional and social aspects, resulting in individuals who not only excel in science, but also have strong morals. The concept of Islamic tarbiyah emphasizes character formation, understanding knowledge based on revelation and reason, as well as adapting to changing times without abandoning Islamic principles.  Some of the main challenges facing Islamic education in the era of globalization include the secularization of education, the influence of Western culture which is not in line with Islamic values, and technological developments which can have a negative impact if not addressed wisely. To meet this challenge, educational strategies based on Islamic values are needed, such as the integration of religious knowledge and science, the use of technology for da'wah and learning, and strengthening the role of Islamic teachers and educational institutions as agents of change.  This research also highlights the importance of a monotheism-based curriculum that is able to form a kaffah (comprehensive) Muslim personality, as well as a learning model that develops students' spiritual, intellectual and social intelligence. Thus, Islamic education from a tarbawy perspective can be a solution in facing the challenges of globalization while maintaining Islamic identity in the midst of modernization.
