Abstract

The film industry is booming right now, especially in Indonesia. As a means of entertainment and conveying messages to the public, various cinema themes have been produced. This study aims to qualitatively analyze the content (content analysis) in the exposure of the film "Nanti Kita Stories About Hari (NKCTHI)" which is a family drama genre that describes the position and role of a man, husband, and father in a family that is sued by a child. their children according to the development of the times. The message of NKCTHI's film is to challenge male domination as partner and father in a patriarchal culture where men still have the authority and center of power.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the development of animation in Indonesia based on historical studies to map Indonesian history in the context of world/global animation history at the same time. This study also examines the relationship between the history of Indonesian animation and the history of the first films in Indonesia that occurred during the Dutch colonial period. According to Stephen Cavalier, the entire history of animation can be divided into five major periods, starting with the pre-digital era (The Origin of Animation) and ending with the digital era (1986-2010). Based on the research results, Indonesian animation is produced according to the five main animation cycles of the world, even though the country has long been exposed to foreign films and animation (Disney Studio) has entered Indonesia since the beginning of the world. Indonesia only became a country in the 1950s thanks to the vision of Soekarno, the first president. In the history of animation, 1950 marked the beginning of the transition from the Golden Age of Cartoons, controlled by Disney Studios, to the Golden Age of Cartoons needle television (television era).In the study of the history of animation, the 1950s which lasted half a century was the era of modern animation history. Actually, Indonesian animation has a long history, but compared to the history of world animation, the speed of development of Indonesian animation is relatively slow.

Abstract

This paper is discussing the important role played by compositing and color grading in the film industry, which contributes greatly to the visual appearance of films. Compositing is the process of combining various visual elements such as green screen, special effects, and image layers to create a true-to-life scene. This process allows for the creation of stunning visual effects such as explosions, monsters, or fantastic landscapes. The methodological approach carried out in this study is called literature research. The result of this writing is that adjusting the color, contrast, and lighting in the film to achieve the desired mood and feel can be done through color grading and lighting. This can change the audience's feelings towards the scene from a dark and mysterious one to a bright and pleasant one. Both functions together to produce balanced and harmonious movie images. Color grading ensures the overall look, while compositing creates scenes with strong visual elements.

Abstract

Di era digital yang didominasi oleh media sosial, meme menjadi salah satu bentuk komunikasi yang dominan dan berpengaruh dan efektif. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah mengeksplor teknik penulisan naskah dan analisis semiotik yang dapat digunakan untuk menciptakan meme yang lebih relevan dan strategis. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan mixed methods, dengan analisis semiotik dan naratif serta evaluasi keterlibatan audiens melalui meme viral di platform media sosial. Hasil penelitian adalah bahwa meme yang berhasil menggabungkan humor, relevansi, dan elemen visual kuat sangat memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan publik serta memberikan kritik sosial yang konstruktif, sehingga berperan penting dalam memengaruhi opini publik dan perilaku sosial di era digital. Penelitian juga menggarisbawahi perlunya pemahaman mendalam tentang teknik penulisan naskah untuk menghasilkan konten meme yang berdampak

Abstract

This study reviews the extent to which special visual effects (VFX) will influence the film industry, with an emphasis on visual communication design, action scenes, and fantasy. Analysis of the latest Visual Effects (VFX) technologies, including hardware, software, and processing techniques, helps us understand advances in special effects production. This research explains how technology makes different film experiences with a focus on film case studies that focus on the influence of visual effects on character design and the construction of the film world. The research method is a literature review by understanding the history, technological developments, and impact of VFX in the film industry. The results of this study show that technology has an impact on film narrative and audience perception, ethical issues such as visual manipulation and unrealistic representation. Also, that of the use of visual effects in film production andthe possible misuse of technology, there are more ethical issues to be aware of in this industry. This research also details the anticipated technological developments such as augmented reality, virtual reality, andartificial intelligence, as well as their implications for visual communication design in films. The bottom line is that it is important to follow and use innovation with balanced training, skills, and ethical considerations in guiding the evolution of VFX in the film industry.

Abstract

Animasi telah menjadi salah satu bentuk seni dan hiburan yang paling dinamis dan berpengaruh dalam industri kreatif. Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, animasi mengalami perkembangan pesat baik dari segi teknologi maupun teknik. Dua pendekatan utama dalam animasi, yaitu animasi 2D (dua dimensi) dan animasi 3D (tiga dimensi), telah mendominasi industri ini dengan karakteristik dan keunggulan masing-masing. Animasi 2D, yang lebih tradisional, menggunakan gambar datar yang digambar tangan atau dengan bantuan komputer untuk menciptakan ilusi gerak. Metode ini dikenal dengan estetika yang khas, sering kali mengandalkan gaya artistik yang unik dan ekspresif. Sejak era kartun klasik seperti "Mickey Mouse" hingga serial televisi modern seperti "The Simpsons" dan "Avatar: The Last Airbender," animasi 2D telah meninggalkan jejak yang mendalam dalam budaya pop dan terus mendapatkan tempat di hati penonton.
