Abstract

Mikroalga jenis Chlorella sp. merupakan jenis fitoplankton yang menjadi salah satu pakan alami dan banyak dipakai dalam kegiatan budidaya perikanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana teknik yang dilakukan pada kultur Chlorella sp. secara massal di BPBAP Situbondo. Sebelum melakukan kultur, air laut disterilkan terlebih dahulu dengan menggunakan 10 ppm kaporit. Setelah dicampurkan, air laut didiamkan selama sehari, kemudian dicampurkan dengan natrium tiosulfat (Na2S2O3) dan didiamkan selama 30 menit agar kembali netral. Dalam kultur Chlorella sp. Pupuk yang digunakan adalah: UREA = 40 ppm, ZA = 30 ppm, SP-36 = 20 PPM. Sebelum pemupukan,  20-40% inokulan Chlorella sp. dialirkan melewati filter bag sebelum masuk ke kolam intensif dengan menggunakan selang 1 inchi dan pompa air berkapasitas 200 watt kedalam kolam intensif. Setelah 6-7 hari di kultur, Chlorella sp. disalurkan ke ke bak kultur Rotifera sp. dan ke bak larva kerapu cantang sesuai dengan tingkat kebutuhan masing-masing budidayaKata kunci : Mikroalga, Intensif, Chlorella Sp, Rotifera Sp

Abstract

Catfish farming of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is one of the leading freshwater aquaculture commodities in Indonesia with strong economic potential. However, its productivity is influenced not only by biological characteristics but also by various interrelated external factors. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the productivity of African catfish farming using a literature review approach. Data were collected from national scientific sources published between 2015 and 2025, including journal articles, research reports, and conference proceedings. The results indicate that technical factors such as seed quality, feed management, stocking density, and water quality play a significant role in determining productivity. In addition, socio-economic factors, including farmers’ experience, education level, and access to training, also influence farming performance. Institutional support, access to technology, environmental conditions, and market price fluctuations are additional important determinants
