Abstract

The study on Islamic Education towards the integration of human knowledge has been of great importance, not only to the general phenomena of education, but also to other disciplines. Modern Centers of Que’anic Recitation known as the formal school or a place where teaching and learning of the Glorious Qur’an and other Islamic sciences is taken place. The system otherwise called Modern Qur’anic school system, it has been in existence centuries prior to the British colonization as a source of moral guidance and educational training for the Muslim particularly in northern part of Nigeria. It has also contributed extremely to promoting Qur’anic education, inculcating self-discipline, spiritual growth of Muslim individuals and the communities respectively. This paper aimed at disclosing the historical development of Modern Centers of Qur’anic Schools and its prospects with particular reference to the countr Nigeria. The research is an exploratory quantitative research that sourced cross sectional Schools data collected through the use of structured questionnaire. Multistage purposive sampling method was employed in selecting the respondents for the study across the study area. Themaic analysis was employed as the method of data analysis. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to summarize and interpret the results of the analyses of the data obtained. The findings of this research revealed that, Modern Centers of Qur’anic is a center that produced Qur’anic memorizers that can participate in any Qur’anic Competition around the grobe. It further revealed that, Modern Centers of Qur’anic Recitation produced Imams, good leaders and Righteous people in Yobe State. It revealed that, Modern Centers of Qur’anic Recitation have developed rapidly since its establishment irrespective of some prevailing problems and they make a positive contribution on the society in terms of spiritual, moral and social wellbeing as well as their Techniques of Teaching Tajwid. Finally, the recommended that public awareness campaigns should be carryout to address hinderances of sending small children to Tsangaya schools.

Abstract

Sharia imposes a duty on the husband to maintain his wife arises when the marriage contract was completed. The right of the husband to maintain his wife continuous until the contract of the marriage comes to an end through divorce or death of the husband. In Islam it is the duty of the husband to provide for his family expenses. In this respect the wife may have wealth more than the husband but still she has no obligation to contribute to the maintenance of the family. The paper is to examine the provisions of sharia on the husband to maintain a wife generally and also the maintenance of a working wife. The paper will analyses the law on the extended duty of the husband to maintain the wife even though the wife is working and earning a good salary.

Abstract

Muslim marriage to Christian and Jews is a controversial topic in Islam. While some Islamic scholars argue that it is permissible others argue that it is forbidden. This paper will discuss the implications of Muslim marriage to Christian and Jews in Islam. It will examine the various opinions of Islamic scholars on the implications of such marriage on Islamic faith. It will also discuss the potential benefits and drawbacks of such marriage and the potential implications for the Islamic community. Finally it will consider the implications of the marriage in Islam.

Abstract

The legality of abortion under Islamic law is a complex and debated topic. Islamic law has varying interpretations regarding abortion. Abortion is generally permitted in Islam if the mother’s life is at risk or in cases of severe fetal abnormalities. However the specific gestational limit for permissibility varies among Islamic schools of thought, the concept of ensoulment, or when fetus is believes to receive a soul, is crucial in determining abortions permissibility. Some interpretations consider ensoulment to occur at conception, while others believe it happens later. Around 120 days after conception. Different schools of thought such as Hanafi, Maliki, Shafii and Hanbali have varying opinions on abortion some are more restrictive,  while others allow abortion under specific circumstances. Analytical research methodology was used in this paper. Data are drawn from books, articles, scholarly journals etc.

Abstract

The phenomenon of marriage dissolution has existed before Islam and has persisted ever since. Indeed, if the contemporary world situation is indictable of any trend, it appears to foretell a continuing increase in divorce rates; the gradual decline in some societies is offset by the continuing rise in others. This paper investigates on critical analysis of the rights of divorced woman under Islamic Law. The paper start with brief introduction on the right of maintenance (shelter, clothing and food) in Revocable Divorce. The paper further explain the right to inheritance from divorced wife. The paper end with the analysis on the position of Divorcee in Islamic Law according to the views of Muslim Scholars and the right to demand payment for nursing and custodian of children of fail marriage. Analytical research methodology was used in this paper. Data are drawn from books, articles, scholarly journals etc.
