Abstract

Coastal areas are dynamic environments that are highly susceptible to changes caused by geomorphological processes, particularly coastal abrasion and accretion. Limited coastal literacy and students' spatial awareness of coastal dynamics often constrain understanding of shoreline changes and the importance of sustainable coastal environmental management. This condition served as the basis for implementing a Community Service Program (PKM) aimed at strengthening coastal literacy and enhancing students' spatial awareness through field-based geography learning on the dynamics of coastal abrasion and accretion at Mempawah Beach. The learning activities employed interactive lectures, group discussions, field observations, identification of abrasion and accretion landforms, shoreline change observations, and the completion of student worksheets (LKPD). The program was evaluated descriptively through field observations, group discussions, and an analysis of students' worksheet responses without employing pre-test or post-test assessments. The results indicate that the participants were able to recognize the characteristics of coastal abrasion and accretion based on geomorphological features observed in the field, identify factors influencing shoreline changes, and explain the relationship between natural processes and human activities in shaping coastal dynamics. Furthermore, the field-based learning activities provided meaningful contextual learning experiences that promoted the development of coastal literacy, spatial thinking skills, and environmental awareness regarding coastal conservation and mitigation efforts. Therefore, field-based geography learning can be considered an effective approach to strengthening students' coastal literacy and spatial awareness through direct interaction with real-world coastal environments, thereby fostering long-term environmental stewardship and sustainable coastal conservation attitudes.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat (PkM) ini berjudul “Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Jenjang SD/SMP/SMA Melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Bahan Ajar Digital Berbasis Aplikasi Flipbook di Kota Pontianak.” Tujuan utamanya adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru anggota Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) Kota Pontianak dalam menyusun bahan ajar digital interaktif menggunakan Flipbook. Pelatihan ini sangat relevan untuk membekali para pendidik dengan keterampilan teknologi pembelajaran terkini, memungkinkan mereka menciptakan materi yang lebih interaktif dan menarik bagi peserta didik di berbagai jenjang. Metode pelaksanaan PkM adalah pelatihan luring (hands-on) yang intensif dan terbagi dalam tiga tahapan: perencanaan kurikulum dan koordinasi dengan PGRI Kota Pontianak; tahap inti di mana pelatihan pembuatan bahan ajar digital berbasis aplikasi Flipbook diberikan; dan evaluasi serta monitoring dampak kegiatan. Program ini menargetkan efek domino positif melalui penyebaran pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh guru kepada rekan sejawat di sekolah masing-masing, sehingga terjadi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan di Kota Pontianak. Simpulan kegiatan menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam mencapai tujuan utama, yaitu peningkatan signifikan pada kompetensi dan keterampilan praktis guru. Solusi pelatihan Flipbook terbukti tepat sasaran dan sangat relevan, didukung oleh antusiasme serta kehadiran penuh peserta. Luaran PkM mencakup publikasi artikel ilmiah di seminar nasional, artikel di koran online, video dokumentasi YouTube ber-Hak Cipta, dan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran digital berkelanjutan

Abstract

Education character is focus main in education in Indonesia. The role of educator as role model can in a way effective strengthen education character students. Lack of role model from part educators, good in speech, attitude, and action everyday, making student No own role model real For imitated . Its implementation No only through delivery material lessons, but Also through customs, culture school, and role model educators. Articles This aim For research role educator in strengthen education character through role model. Method studies literature covering focus, keywords, collection sources, selection, classification, analysis, synthesis, and discussion. Results review literature show that educator own position strategic as capable role models form attitudes, behavior, and morals of students. Education character is runway important For form personality student so that they own moral values, ethics, and attitude positive in life. Role model educator play role strategic in the process of strengthening education characters in the environment school. Through attitude, speech, behavior, and action, educator become role model imitated real and internalized by student.
