Abstract

The rapid adoption of digital financial technology, including Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services, has changed consumer behaviour patterns. Shopee PayLater has emerged as a popular payment option, especially among college students. Despite being increasingly used, this service may increase the risk of uncontrolled consumptive behaviour. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the consumption behaviour of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya, using Shopee PayLater. This study uses a quantitative approach and a survey of 119 respondents. It analyzes how Shopee PayLater, income, expenses, and financial literacy influence student consumption behaviour. The regression analysis results show that the use of Shopee PayLater and spending have a significant effect on consumption behaviour. In contrast, income and financial literacy have no significant effect. The implications of this study emphasize the need to increase practice-based financial literacy and stricter regulations on digital credit services to reduce the risk of excessive consumption among college students.

Abstract

Regional development must be oriented toward sectoral advantages to optimize resource allocation and development strategies. Bogor Raya, which consists of Bogor City and Bogor Regency, based on the 2023 GRDP contribution rankings in West Java Province, shows that Bogor City ranks fourth out of nine cities, while Bogor Regency ranks third out of nineteen regencies. One of the largest sectors in Bogor Raya, namely Wholesale and Retail Trade, contributes less than the provincial level, indicating that this sector is more prominent at the provincial level. This study aims to analyze the regional economic sectors to determine development priorities for Bogor Raya. The analytical methods used include Location Quotient (LQ), Shift-Share (SS), Growth Ratio Model (GRM), and Overlay. The results show that eight sectors consistently remain either basic or non-basic, with only one sector changing category. One sector shifted from basic to non-basic, while six sectors shifted from non-basic to basic. Lastly, there are four leading sectors in Bogor Raya. This condition is influenced by the strategic role of Bogor Raya as the hinterland of the Jakarta region.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of Oil Revenue Sharing (DBH Migas), world oil prices, regional taxes, regional expenditures, and capital expenditures on the fiscal capacity of Bojonegoro Regency from 2001 to 2024, using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results show that in the long term, DBH Migas, world oil prices, and regional taxes have a significant impact on fiscal capacity, while regional and capital expenditures do not. In the short term, all variables significantly affect fiscal capacity, especially DBH Migas and world oil prices at certain lags. The error correction term (ECT) is negative but not significant, indicating a slow adjustment toward long-term equilibrium.
