Abstract

This research aims to design a receptionist information system at the Palembang City Library and Archives Office to facilitate visitor registration and data management. The system is designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve service quality for visitors. Using the Prototype development model, the system goes through the stages of requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The research results show that the developed system improves visitor management with features such as digital registration, data recapitulation, and data export to Excel format. Additionally, the system supports library operations by accelerating data retrieval and generating more structured reports. The implementation of this system is expected to accelerate digital transformation in library administration and enhance service quality for the public.

Abstract

The Palembang Information and Communication Office is a government agency that leverages information technology to enhance its services. However, it faces several internal challenges that must be minimized to achieve good governance. These challenges include the rapid advancement of information technology, a shortage of human resources with expertise in communication and information, and insufficient employee numbers. To address these issues, optimizing IT resources is crucial. The Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) framework can serve as a reference to measure the effectiveness of IT usage at the Palembang Information and Communication Office. The IT services provided aim to support the Palembang Communication and Information Office in delivering efficient services to the public. For information technology to contribute effectively to organizational performance, its objectives must align with business goals. Therefore, evaluating IT governance using COBIT 5 is essential to improving service performance at the Palembang Information and Communication Office.

Abstract

Dalam era digital yang berkembang sangat cepat, teknologi telah menjadi bagian penting dari kebutuhan dalam keseharian kita. Salah satu perkembangan teknologi telah mengubah bagaimana cara kita berinteraksi dengan informasi salah satunya yaitu Quick Response code (QR Code). Pondok Pesantren Madrasah Aliyah Al- Ittifaqiyah Indralaya, sebagai salah satu pesantren terkemuka di Sumatera Selatan saat ini masih menggunakan absensi manual untuk sistem absensi santrinya. Hal ini dirasa memiliki banyak kelemahan seperti rentan terjadinya kesalahan. Disini kami para tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat tertarik untuk membuat inovasi absensi menjadi digital dengan berbasis web menggunakan QR Code dengan metode extreme Programming. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada guru dan santri di madrasah tersebut. Pengguna sistem dapat langsung mencoba menggunakan sistem ini dan dapat bertanya langsung kepada tim pendamping. Tujuannya agar memudahkan guru dalam mengabsen santri secara digital. Sistem absensi yang dikembangkan ini menggunakan bahasa pemprograman PHP dan MySQL sebagai database nya, kemudian framework Laravel sebagai fondasi pengembangan aplikasi web. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan guru dan santri dalam menggunakan sistem absensi berbasis web menggunakan QR-Code.
