Abstract

This article explores the fundamental role of the Holy Spirit in shaping human psychology from a theological and psycho-spiritual perspective. The study aims to understand how the work of the Holy Spirit influences the development of an individual’s mental, emotional, and moral life. The method employed is a literature review of biblical texts alongside contemporary theological and psychological sources. The findings indicate that the Holy Spirit plays an active role in inner regeneration, the renewal of the mind, and the cultivation of the fruit of the Spirit—elements that align closely with the framework of positive psychology. In conclusion, the Holy Spirit is a transformative agent in shaping human psychological wholeness in accordance with the will of God.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of psychospiritual resilience from a Christian perspective using a theological-psychological analysis approach. In a world full of emotional stress and existential crises, resilience is seen not only as the ability to mentally survive but also as an active faith response to suffering. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review to examine the interaction between Christian doctrine, spiritual experience, and resilience theory in psychology. The analysis shows that Christian spirituality—especially through a relationship with God, prayer, faith community, and the work of the Holy Spirit—has a significant contribution to fostering holistic and sustainable resilience. This article offers an integration of faith and mental health as a transformative approach to facing life's challenges.

Abstract

This study examines the psychological dynamics of Moses’ leadership during the wilderness crisis through a narrative exegetical analysis of Numbers 11:11–15. Unlike previous studies that emphasize historical and theological-political aspects, this research highlights the concept of prophetic burden as a form of mental strain involving emotional exhaustion, cognitive distortion, and deep despair. Using a narrative-critical approach, the analysis shows that Moses’ distress is driven by excessive internalization of responsibility and social isolation, shaping his theological perception of God. The narrative resolution, through the appointment of seventy elders, demonstrates that leadership burdens are not meant to be borne individually. The study concludes that Scripture acknowledges the emotional vulnerability of leaders and affirms the necessity of a collective model of leadership in addressing ministry burnout.

Abstract

Progressive Christianity promotes an inclusive theology of salvation that reinterprets the concept of redemption, rejecting the necessity of Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross. This perspective shifts the focus from faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to self-transformation through social justice and moral actions. As a result, the meaning of the cross is marginalised, and salvation is perceived as a personal journey rather than divine redemption from sin. This study aims to critically analyse the Progressive Christian interpretation of salvation and evaluate it biblically. A qualitative research approach was employed, using a literature review to examine theological sources relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that sin necessitates atonement for salvation, the cross is central to Christ’s redemptive work, and salvation is found exclusively in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). This study concludes that the Progressive Christian understanding of salvation, which diminishes the significance of the cross, contradicts biblical teachings. Salvation is not merely about social transformation but is fundamentally dependent on Christ’s atoning sacrifice.
