Leadership style and communication skills play a crucial role in maintaining the organizational commitment of church congregations. This study examines the influence of leadership style and communication skills on congregational commitment at the Indonesian Evangelical Church (GKKAI) in Palu. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, data were collected from 80 church members selected through purposive sampling. The research employed a structured questionnaire based on the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), communication effectiveness models, and commitment measurement frameworks. The findings indicate that transformational and servant leadership styles significantly enhance congregational commitment, while effective communication strengthens the relationship between church leaders and members. Statistical analysis using multiple linear regression shows that leadership style has a dominant effect compared to communication skills. The study also highlights theological reflections on leadership models in the Bible, particularly those of Jesus and Paul, as applicable to modern church leadership. The results suggest that churches should implement leadership training, improve communication strategies, and enhance congregation involvement. Future research should explore additional influencing factors such as digital media and socio-cultural contexts.
