Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of group discussion methods for students in increasing their piety to Allah SWT on the material of commendable morals in class VI of SD Negeri 091566 Bah Jambi. This study was motivated by the need to improve students' understanding and appreciation of commendable moral values, which are expected to have a positive impact on increasing their piety. This study uses a Classroom Action Research approach with a cycle model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection, and is supported by qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews with students and teachers, as well as participant observation in the classroom. The subjects of the study were class VI students and Islamic Religious Education teachers at SD Negeri 091566 Bah Jambi. The results of the study showed that the application of group discussion methods significantly improved students' understanding of the concepts of commendable morals such as honesty, trustworthiness, and compassion, and increased their awareness of the relationship between commendable morals and piety to Allah SWT. Students become more active and enthusiastic in learning, able to collaborate in groups, and show increased ability in expressing opinions and arguing politely. Group discussions also provide space for students to reflect on and internalize the meaning of piety in the context of everyday life through the exchange of experiences and perspectives between students. In addition, Islamic Religious Education teachers also show improvements in their ability to facilitate discussions and provide guidance to students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of scaffolding material in improving Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning outcomes on the material Believing in the Prophets and Messengers of Allah, and how the application can shape the character of a digital generation with noble morals among grade 8 students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kolang, Kolang District, Central Tapanuli Regency. Scaffolding is a learning approach that provides gradual guidance to students according to their level of understanding, so that they can achieve independence in learning. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the application of scaffolding strategies in PAI learning significantly improved students' understanding of the material Believing in the Prophets and Messengers of Allah. Students become more active in the learning process, are able to think critically, and better understand and internalize the values ​​of Islamic teachings in everyday life. In addition, the use of scaffolding also helps students face the challenges of the digital era by forming characters based on Islamic values, such as honesty, responsibility, and mutual respect. Thus, this strategy is an effective solution in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning and forming the character of a digital generation with morals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using group discussion methods in increasing students' faith in the Messenger of Allah SWT in students of SDN 091567 Bah Jambi. This method is considered effective in helping students understand and internalize Islamic teachings, especially related to faith in the Messenger of Allah SWT. This study uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. The results of the study indicate that group discussions have a positive impact on students' understanding and faith in the Messenger of Allah SWT, marked by an increase in students' enthusiasm and understanding of the material being taught. Group discussions also strengthen relationships between students and encourage collaboration in understanding religious teachings. These data were obtained through observations during open classes. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively, by describing the number and percentage of active, enthusiastic and enthusiastic students who increased their enthusiasm for learning. The results of observations on student activities were discussed during reflection, and used as a basis for determining the next learning model. Students were very active and enthusiastic in using the discussion method to achieve an increase of 10% in the pre-cycle and 15% in cycle 1 and cycle 2.
