<![CDATA[Abstract This research is titled "Criminological Review of Acts of Abuse Commited by Husbands Against Wives in Rengat Hamlet Sekadau Regency". This is a type of empirical legal research with descriptive research. The method of collecting data in this research is using interviews and observations in the field. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique by explaining and providing a descriptive description of the findings in the field. The research examines from a criminological perspective the perpetrators of the abuse that accurred in Rengat hamlet. The purpose of this research is to find out: (1) what factors cause domestic abuse perpetrated by husbands against wives in Rengat hamlet, (2) what is the role of the parties (husband/wife) so that domestic abuse occurs by husbands against wife in Rengat hamlet. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there are two factors that cause husbands to abuse their wives, namely internal factors and external factors. The internal factors is the inability to control emotions and the perpetrator feels that he has complete power over his victim. External factors are the victim"™s behavior which also influences the perpetrator"™s actions, economic conditions and the presence of a third person. Meanwhile, in the second problem formulation, the research results show that both parties play an equal role and are the triggers that cause acts of abuse to occur within the household. The resolution of cases of abuse in this research was resolved according to custom, using customary sanctions from the customary rules of the local community. Keyword: Criminology, Persecution, Domectic Violance Abstrak Penelitian ini berjudul "Tinjauan Kriminologi Terhadap Tindakan Penganiayaan Yang Dilakukan Oleh Suami Terhadap Istri di Dusun Rengat Kabupaten Sekadau". Ialah jenis penelitian hukum empiris dengan penelitian bersifat deskriptif. Cara pengumpulan data penelitian ini ialah memakai wawancara serta observasi dilapangan. Teknik analisis data yang diterapkan ialah analisis deskriptif kualititif dengan memaparkan serta memberikan gambaran secara deskriptif atas temuan dilapangan. Studi ini mengkaji dari sudut pandang kriminologi terhadap pelaku penganiayaan yang terjadi didusun Rengat. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna menganalisis: (1) berbagai faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya tindak KDRT yang dilakukan oleh suami terhadap istri di Dusun Rengat, serta (2) bagaimana keterlibatan masing-masing pihak, baik suami maupun istri, dalam dinamika yang mengarah pada terjadinya KDRT di wilayah tersebut. Merujuk pada hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, bisa disimpulkan bahwasannya terdapat terdapat dua faktor penyebab suami melakukan penganiayaan terhadap istrinya yaitu faktor internal serta faktor eksternal. Faktor internalnya ialah ketidakmampuan mengendalikan emosi serta pelaku merasa bahwa dirinya berkuasa penuh atas korbannya. Faktor eksternalnya adalah perilaku sang korban juga mempengaruhi tindakan pelaku, kondisi ekonomi dan keberadaan orang ketiga. Sedangkan pada rumusan masalah kedua, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kedua pihak sam-sama berperan dan menjadin pemicu sehingga terjadi tindakan penganiayaan yang terjadi pada ruang lingkup rumah tangga tersebut. Penyelesaian perkara penganiayaan dalam penelitian ini diselesaikan secara adat, menggunakan sanksi adat dari aturan adat masyarakat setempat.
