Abstract

This study is a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach to evaluate and compile data from various sources related to learning theories. The aim of the research is to describe the application of key learning theories, including behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and humanism, in the context of education in Indonesia. The data sources include books, scholarly articles, and relevant previous research findings. The results of the study show that each learning theory offers a unique perspective on understanding the learning process. Behaviorism emphasizes behavioral change through stimulus-response relationships, while cognitivism focuses on the mental processes that support deep understanding. Constructivism prioritizes experiential learning and problem-solving, while humanism is oriented toward the holistic development of individual potential. The implementation of these theories in teaching, such as through group discussions, experiments, and personalized approaches, has proven to create a learning environment that supports students' cognitive, affective, and social development. Educators play a crucial role in the learning process, not only as information providers but also as facilitators who support students' intellectual, social, and emotional development. The teacher’s role as a source of learning, facilitator, manager, mentor, motivator, and evaluator significantly contributes to creating a conducive environment for effective learning. The success of learning is highly dependent on the teacher's skills in designing and managing the learning process to achieve educational goals optimally.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study that objectively describes the real state of the events being investigated. This study uses interview techniques to obtain data from the subjects being studied. The research was conducted on college students in East Java using random sampling techniques. The focus of this research is to examine and discuss the learning motivation of students to continue their education to the postgraduate level from two groups: fresh graduates and students with work experience. Learning motivation is a student's tendency to engage in learning activities driven by the desire to achieve the best possible learning outcomes. Learning motivation comes from within oneself (internal) as well as from family and surrounding environment (external). The data obtained show that the patterns or types of motivation possessed by these two groups tend to differ. Fresh graduates tend to have learning motivation based on four aspects: self-enrichment, job-seeking capital, filling leisure time, and competency enhancement. Meanwhile, students with work experience are motivated to continue their education at the postgraduate level based on self-development, institutional demands, competency enhancement, and as an opportunity for salary increase.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the main dimensions of collaborative leadership that are relevant in the context of Islamic education. The background of this study is rooted in the assumption that a leader must be able to be an effective leader, with the same goal of providing guidance, setting an example, and directing members to improve while helping to solve organizational problems. In this study, the method used is qualitative research through literature study, which examines and synthesizes findings from research and theories that exist in previous scientific works. The findings indicate that collaborative leadership is a viable option for developing an Islamic education culture. With the increasing diversity of Islamic education in Indonesia, the leadership style applied must be integrated with Islamic values. As a creature of Allah SWT who maximizes the ability to allocate efforts in educational institutions, instilling Islamic character is very important and can be achieved through the implementation of daily behavior, which will ultimately shape the organizational culture. This study contributes to the understanding that the application of collaborative leadership in Islamic education has great potential to improve the quality of education and create a more inclusive and meaningful learning environment, with Islamic values such as ta'awun (mutual assistance), shura (deliberation), and ukhuwah (brotherhood) that support the principles of collaborative leadership.

Abstract

This research is a literature review conducted by searching, reading, analyzing, and synthesizing various written information sources such as books, journals, articles, and reports relevant to the research topic. This study focuses on philosophical perspectives that view human life on earth as being significantly influenced by both religion and science. While religion provides guidance and direction in life towards an ethical, moral, and civilized existence, science offers humans a wealth of knowledge. Moreover, advancements in science enable the world to discover more things that facilitate and ease human existence. The relationship between religion and science has been a subject of ongoing discussion among scholars. This relationship encompasses conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. Religion and science are said to be in conflict due to their differing histories, methods, and fields of study, while independence suggests that they are separate entities with their own respective domains. In dialogue, religion and science offer a relationship between knowledge and faith with a more constructive interaction compared to the perspectives of conflict and independence. The integration approach, on the other hand, is understood as the process of combining and adjusting elements of both religion and science, resulting in a fusion of two distinct dimensions that ultimately achieve harmony.
