Abstract

Municipal waste is a serious concern in cities, and there should be efficient programs to minimize waste quantity and promote sustainable practices. This study examines the impact of Waste Bank Implementation (WBI) and the Zero Waste Program (ZWP) on Changes in Community Behavior (CCB) and Waste Volume (WVO) in Bandung, Indonesia, using quantitative analysis with 220 samples collected from a Likert-scale (1-5) survey and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results reveal that ZWP has the greatest impact on behavior change and waste reduction, which speaks volumes about the effectiveness of education, policy, and awareness campaigns, while WBI affects both behavior change and waste reduction but to a smaller degree than ZWP. The results thus reveal that although waste banks are accountable for waste reduction, policy-based interventions such as the Zero Waste Program are more effective in maintaining long-term sustainability. Therefore, a combined approach involving financial incentives, education campaigns, and sound waste policy is required for sustainable urban waste management, and future studies should draw qualitative results on behavioral drivers and compare across cities to ensure the highest generalizability.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of training and development, organizational culture, and career growth on employee productivity in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from employees of SOEs and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that all three factors significantly contribute to employee productivity, with career growth having the strongest effect, followed by training and development and organizational culture. These results highlight the critical role of career advancement opportunities in enhancing employee motivation and performance. The study supports the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, emphasizing the strategic importance of human capital investment. Additionally, the findings align with the Job Characteristics Model and Self-Determination Theory, indicating that employees are more productive when provided with meaningful work, skill development, and career progression opportunities. Based on these findings, it is recommended that SOEs prioritize career development programs, implement continuous training initiatives, and foster a positive organizational culture to maximize productivity. Future research could explore additional factors such as work-life balance, leadership styles, and digital transformation to further understand productivity dynamics in SOEs.

Abstract

Abstract

This study evaluates the influence of household behavior, waste segregation practices, and community participation on waste reduction in Cimahi City. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 200 respondents using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that all three factors positively and significantly impact waste reduction, with waste segregation practices exerting the strongest influence. Household behavior and community participation also contribute substantially, underscoring their role in sustainable waste management. The model demonstrates substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.65) and predictive relevance (Q² = 0.48). These results highlight the importance of an integrated approach to waste reduction, emphasizing behavioral change, community engagement, and systematic waste segregation to achieve long-term environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of proximity service on citizen satisfaction with public services. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study amounted to 397 respondents. The sampling technique used probability sampling with a simple random sampling method, resulting in a sample of 40 respondents. The data collection method used in this study was a questionnaire and literature study. The analysis method used was simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that proximity service has a positive and significant effect on citizen satisfaction with public services. From the results of the correlation coefficient calculation, a Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.518 was obtained. This indicates that there is a fairly strong relationship between Proximity service and Citizen Satisfaction with public services. Then the results of the determination coefficient calculation show an R square of 0.268, which means that the citizen satisfaction variable can be explained by the proximity service variable, which is 26.8%. While the remaining 73.2% is explained by other variables.
