Abstract

Teachers frequently encounter heavy workloads, which can reduce job satisfaction. While various research have looked at this link, the function of job motivation as a deciding factor has not been thoroughly investigated. This systematic literature review seeks to investigate how motivation of work affects the relationship between workload with job satisfaction in teachers. Using the PRISMA framework, a thorough search was undertaken across major academic databases such as Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and Google Scholar, focused on publications published between 2015 and 2025. Inclusion criteria were peer-reviewed publications on motivation, workload, and job satisfaction in the context of school teacher. A total of 12 relevant studies were examined thematically. The data show that a high workload typically affects job satisfaction, although this impact can be mitigated or modulated by internal and extrinsic motivating variables. Teachers with higher levels of intrinsic motivation were more tolerant to workload-related stress and reported higher levels of satisfaction. This review emphasizes the necessity of improving motivating tactics in educational institutions in order to increase teacher well-being. More study is needed to investigate contextual variables including school culture and teacher tenure.

Abstract

The impostor phenomenon is a unique phenomenon that occurs in high achieving individuals. The impostor phenomenon can affect a person's psychological well-being, such as work, academics, interpersonal relationships, or the ability to achieve self-actualization. This research aims to look at the description and urgency of the impostor phenomenon among students. This research uses literature study methods in various journals, book chapters, theses such as Science Direct, Psyc Info, Sage, and Taylor & Francis, and the Online Thesis database. The results of research from 9 selected pieces of literature showed that students often experience the impostor phenomenon in the "medium" and "high" categories. The demands of the academic environment, such as high competition and self-comparison are the main triggers. High achieving students tend to feel anxious, afraid of disappointing others, and doubtful when achieving success. Therefore, there is a need for counselor action to overcome the problem of this impostor phenomenon by educating on the impact and carrying out interventions. Cognitive restructuring techniques are recommended to help overcome the impostor phenomenon problem. Keywords: impostor phenomenon, student, counseling guidance

Abstract

This study analyzes the career-planning profiles of Vocational High School students in Bogor Regency, an area with a growing industry but high unemployment among Vocational High School graduates. Using a quantitative descriptive survey, data were collected from 506 tenth-grade tourism students. A 46-item instrument was validated using the Rasch Model in Winstep software version 5.7.3, chosen for its detailed item fit analysis and for ensuring measurement reliability with ordinal data. Results showed that 72.13% of students were in the "Moderately Capable" category, suggesting basic awareness of career planning but limited practical execution. The psychomotor aspect scored lowest (31.65%), indicating a weak ability to translate career goals into action. No significant gender differences were found. These findings underscore the need for targeted interventions to strengthen students’ psychomotor skills.
