Abstract

Zakat is a series of pillars of Islam that are mandatory for every Muslim. Zakat is a very urgent medium of worship, not just an obligation for Muslims and Muslim women, but the definition of the word urgent in worship itself has a very universal description. Through good zakat management, it is hoped that it can help meet the basic needs of the poor and encourage them to be economically independent. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection from various primary and secondary sources. The research results show that zakat has great potential in improving the community's economy, reducing poverty rates, and creating jobs. However, there are still obstacles in implementing zakat, such as lack of information and public awareness. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed between the government, zakat institutions and the community to maximize the potential of zakat in achieving better social welfare.

Abstract

The consumer behavior of Indonesian people in spending money to meet their daily needs has become a common phenomenon, especially in the current digital era. Although online shopping through e-commerce provides convenience, many individuals become trapped in a cycle of waste by purchasing items they don't need. This research aims to explore the role of gold investment as a more productive alternative in improving the economic welfare of society. In the Sharia context, gold investment is not only considered a safe instrument but also a way to protect the value of wealth from inflation. Qualitative research methods were used to analyze gold investment practices in Indonesia, with a focus on accessibility and the potential profits offered. The research results show that gold investment can be a solution to overcome consumer behavior and improve people's financial welfare. By investing in gold, people can not only store wealth but also have assets that are easy to liquidate when needed. This research recommends that people be wiser in managing their finances by diverting consumer spending into more useful investments, such as gold, to achieve long-term prosperity.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the decline in students’ moral character, particularly in terms of politeness and the diminishing appreciation of the cultural values embedded in the Javanese kromo inggil language. Early introduction to the Kromo Inggil language has been recognized as an urgent step in preserving the cultural heritage of the Javanese language, as it inherently conveys moral values, character education, and communicative politeness. The primary objective of this research is to implement the Kromo Inggil language culture as a means of sustaining and preserving its continuity at UPT SD Negeri Sotang Tambakboyo, Tuban. This study examines the importance of community interest, specifically among elementary school students, in practicing the kromo inggil language within the school, family, and broader community contexts. These environments play a crucial and significant role in preserving the Javanese kromo inggil language, fostering habitual use, and instilling moral values. The findings of the study indicate that the use of the kromo inggil language among Grade V students has a positive impact on character formation. Students demonstrate improved politeness, greater respect for teachers and parents, and increased familiarity with using refined and respectful language in daily communication.
