Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is a company's sensitivity in looking at its surroundings, both society and the environment. The implementation of corporate social responsibility is now increasingly developing. However, unfortunately, this development is not matched by an increase in the welfare of the surrounding community. This is because there are no clear CSR success parameters from the government that must be adopted by companies. In Islamic economics, welfare cannot be measured by just looking at an increase in assets owned. However, the benchmark for prosperity is measured by maintaining five values or what is known as maqashid sharia. Maqashid sharia consists of five maintenance, namely Deen (religion), Nafs (soul), Aql (reason), Nashl (offspring), and Maal (treasure). Maqashid sharia are the five basic goals of a human being to achieve falah (prosperity). As the government's effort to achieve the 2015 MDGs program, maqashid sharia is expected to become an indicator for companies in measuring the success of their CSR. With the existence of maqashid sharia as a parameter for the success of corporate social responsibility, it is hoped that it will be able to accelerate the achievement of the goals of ongoing government programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of sharia financial literacy as a catalyst for the growth of the sharia financial industry in Indonesia. The data used in this research comes from data from Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) and Bank Indonesia from 2015 to 2023. The results of this study show that there is a positive correlation between increasing sharia financial literacy and the growth of the sharia financial industry in Indonesia. In addition to increasing public understanding of sharia financial products and services, increasing sharia financial literacy is also expected to increase the utilization and use of sharia financial products and services due to increasing public trust in sharia financial products and services. The role of good financial literacy can also increase innovation in sharia financial products and services, strengthening industrial competitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out various further educational and outreach efforts to increase sharia financial literacy in the community. Abstract

Retail Sukuk (Sukuk Ritel Syariah/SR) is a sharia-compliant sovereign financing instrument aimed at broadening public participation in state funding and deepening the domestic Islamic capital market. Since its initial issuance in 2008 (SR-001), retail sukuk has demonstrated consistent growth in investor numbers, subscription value, and geographic distribution. This study aims to analyze the development trends of SR up to the latest issuance in 2024 (SR-020), identify key challenges hindering its expansion, and formulate strategic in recommendations to enhance retail investor participation. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using literature review methods. Secondary data were obtained from official reports published by the Ministry of Finance (DJPPR), the Financial Service Authority (OJK), sukuk issuance statistics, scholarly articles, and Islamic capital market reports. The findings indicate that despite growing public interest in SR, several challenges persist, including low levels of Islamic financial literacy, strong preferences for conventional instrument, limited digital sharia-compliant distribution channels, and the underdevelopment of a secondary SR market. The study recommends several strategic measures : expanding digital marketing and subscription platforms through e-SBN, enhancing public literacy and education on Islamic finance, introducing more flexible and attractive sukuk product innovations, and providing fiscal incentives and investment frameworks based on Islamic ESG principles. These findings offer valuable insights for regulators, market players, and academics in strengthening retail sukuk as an inclusive and sustainable Islamic financial instrument within Indonesia’s financial ecosystem.
