<![CDATA[Spiritual needs are the need to find meaning and purpose in life, the need to love and be loved, the need to feel connected, and the need to give and receive forgiveness. Spiritual needs are part of providing nursing care. Nurses are expected to be able to implement the role of caregivers that aims to meet biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the fulfillment of patients' spiritual needs and the role of nurses as caregivers in hospital inpatient rooms. This study applied a cross-sectional design. The subjects of the study were 67 nurses selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected by filling out questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively and continued with the Chi square test. The results of the analysis showed a p value of <0.001, so it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the fulfillment of patients' spiritual needs and the role of nurses as caregivers in hospital inpatient rooms. Thus, it can be concluded that the role of nurses as caregivers is a predictor for the fulfillment of patients' spiritual needs in hospital inpatient rooms.Keywords: caregiver; nurse; spiritual needs ABSTRAK Kebutuhan spiritual merupakan kebutuhan untuk mencari arti dan tujuan hidup, kebutuhan untuk mencintai dan dicintai, kebutuhan untuk merasa terhubung, dan kebutuhan untuk memberi dan mendapat maaf. Kebutuhan spiritual menjadi salah satu bagian dalam pemberian asuhan keperawatan. Perawat diharapkan mampu menerapkan peran sebagai caregiver yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan biologis, psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pasien dengan peran perawat sebagai caregiver di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit. Penelitian ini menerapkan rancangan cross-sectional. Subyek penelitian adalah 67 perawat yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner, selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diteruskan dengan uji Chi square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai p adalah <0,001, sehingga bisa diinterpretasikan bahwa ada hubungan antara pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pasien dengan peran perawat sebagai caregiver di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran perawat selaku caregiver merupakan prediktor bagi pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pasien di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit.Kata kunci: caregiver; perawat; kebutuhan spiritual]]>
