Abstract

Local Own-source Revenue (PAD) is an important indicator for assessing the independence of a region. Taxes and retribution have a strategic role as contributors to Local Own-source Revenue (PAD). The growth of Local Own-source Revenue (PAD), taxes and retribution in Magelang City over the last 13 years shows significant variations/fluctuations. This indicates instability in the management of regional income sources. This research aims to analyze the influence of regional taxes and local retribution on Original Regional Income in Magelang City for the 2011-2023 period. The data used is time series data from 2011 to 2023 on an annual basis obtained from the Directorate General of Financial Balance of the Ministry of Finance (https://djpk.kemenkeu.go.id/). The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that taxes have a positive and very significant influence on Original Regional Income in Magelang City amounting to 7.218, while local retribution have a negative and significant influence on Original Regional Income in Magelang City amounting to -23.922. Together, taxes and levies have a significant effect on Local Own-source Revenue in Magelang City for the 2011-2023 period. Optimizing local taxes and levy policy reform must prioritize efficiency (low management costs) and effectiveness (maximum revenue with direct benefits for society). If carried out consistently, then these steps can significantly increase Local Own-source Revenue, strengthen the regional economy, and improve the welfare of the people of Magelang City.

Abstract

Management of public service complaints is an important part of improving the quality of services provided by the government to the community. The reasons for the importance of complaints include: 1) the public has the right to obtain quality, non-discriminatory public services in accordance with established standards, 2) public complaints are an opportunity for government agencies to evaluate and improve, 3) as government media in providing response to public complaints. To improve services, one of them is by making an innovative breakthrough that makes it easier for the complaints team to resolve problems with public complaints. This innovation is called DOKADU (Complaint Documentation). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the DOKADU (Complaint Documentation) innovation policy in resolving public complaints at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Magelang Municipality for a period of 5 years (2017 – 2021). This research uses descriptive qualitative narrative method. The results of the study show that since the implementation of innovations over the last 5 years (2017 – 2021) it shows that there is a tendency for the number of complaints that have been received and handled successfully to increase (99.85%). FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) that are frequently complained about can be monitored because segmentation/category of complaints can be carried out and ownership of population administration documents increases. This shows that the quality of handling public complaints at the Disdukcapil in Magelang Municipality has increased. This innovation needs to be continuously improved and developed so that it becomes a smart book for the public complaints team. In the future, it is hoped that there will be a software application that assists in documenting complaints, so that population administration services in Magelang Municipality will make the people happier according to the Vision of “Magelang Municipality, namely Magelang is Healthy, Advanced and Happy ".

Abstract

The problem of domestic waste has become quite serious, considering the volume and rate of accumulation are increasing with the increasing population and economic activities. The Final Waste Disposal Site (TPSA) in Magelang City is currently overloaded because Magelang City only has one Final Waste Disposal Site (TPSA). If strategic and appropriate steps are not taken to reduce the waste entering the Banyu Urip Final Waste Disposal Site (TPSA), then within a maximum of 1-2 years the Banyu Urip Final Waste Disposal Site (TPSA) will not be able to receive waste shipments from Magelang City. The incomplete resolution of waste in Magelang City is due to the unavailability of waste processing technology that produces zero waste and is environmentally friendly. The policy analysis evaluation approach used is the Grid Analysis (Matrix Analysis) method. The results of the study recommend the application of waste processing machine technology by the Environmental Service. This mechanization technology is expected to be able to replace the previous method (open dumping and landfill) with waste mechanization with the advantages of being relatively odorless, relatively no social conflict and saving land. The mechanization technology consists of waste sorting machines, plastic shredding machines, organic waste pulping machines, conveyors and incinerators.
