Abstract

The concept of corporate social responsibility is increasingly being embraced by businesses of all kinds and in all areas of society. The necessity of conducting an investigation on the level of Corporate Social Responsibility performance by family businesses is one of the aims of this article. Second, the purpose of this article was to investigate how well non-family businesses perform in terms of their corporate social responsibility obligations. The practise of corporate social responsibility has continued to gain ground in the business world. In the context of a company, "Corporate Social Responsibility" refers to any extracurricular endeavours that go above and beyond the company's routine operations in order to further the common good. Corporate Social Responsibility, for example, has been shown to contribute to increased stock returns, increased access to financing, increased opportunities for companies to merge, and increased opportunities for firms to reduce the cost of their capital. These findings, which have been expressed in a variety of studies, show that companies place a great deal of importance on corporate social responsibility. For example, to demonstrate how much importance companies place on corporate social responsibility, consider the following: the findings expressed in these studies show that corporate social responsibility contributes towards increased stock returns. However, only a few studies have shown that Corporate Social Responsibility is dependent on a few determinants such as regulations, characteristics of chief executive officers, political affiliations, as well as national institutions; the study adopted questionnaire instruments to collect primary data through a survey approach from respondents from family-controlled and non-family-controlled companies. According to the data, family-controlled businesses had a poorer performance in terms of corporate social responsibility than non-family-controlled businesses.

Abstract

Users no longer trust traditional password-based authentication methods since so many online services now interact with one another. Credentials obtained online are often used to reclaim additional credentials, and sophisticated assaults often target the weakest of a large number of available credentials. One-time passwords and a two-factor authentication mechanism appear to be a natural improvement over traditional username/password schemes, thus researchers are looking into them. The OTP verifier is deployed to the cloud in this manuscript to facilitate its use by cloud service providers. OTP providers can outsource their OTP deployments to the cloud and cloud customers can activate their accounts on the OTP provider across many cloud services when the OTP verifier is hosted in the cloud as a service. This lets them take advantage of multiple cloud services without having to juggle multiple OTP accounts. Alternatively, OTP service provision prevents novice SMEs from overspending on OTP provisioning hardware, software, and staff. This paper presents the architecture necessary to create a trustworthy OTP provider in the cloud, one that respects users' right to privacy. The OTP provider registration, activation, and authentication processes for cloud users are examined. We define and evaluate the privacy and security implications of the suggested architecture. With these assumptions in place, attacks from unknown sources, user profiles with unlinkable features, inquisitive service providers, and OTP verifiers are all thwarted. The analysis ensures the reliability and validity of the proposed solution, which places the OTP supplier in the cloud.

Abstract

Mobile devices have become indispensable instruments for staying current, thanks to the revolutionary change brought about by the rapid rise of technology. With an emphasis on giving users real-time access to worldwide news in an engaging and aesthetically pleasing format, this Android news app is meant to bring the latest news from more than 120 newspapers across 50+ countries. This app fills a need in the media application industry by providing quick access to news stories, which is becoming increasingly important as mobile internet usage continues to rise. One of the app's strongest points is how well it compiles and displays news stories from around the world. To keep the platform current and relevant, it has an admin interface for managing news that writers or admins can use to add, edit, or remove content. Also, users can get news stories that are particular to their area thanks to a module that uses their current location. This function, together with the app's built-in ad choices, shows how the app may be a great tool for brand marketing by letting companies advertise their wares within the news stories themselves. In order to guarantee the system's ongoing growth and relevance, this research application system conducts literature studies, market research, and comparative analysis to examine future development trends and strategies for media apps.

Abstract

The micro facial expressions and eye blinks of the liar are analyzed by the lie detection system, which makes use of the Facial Landmark Detection System that is included in the OpenCV Tool Kit. While the suspect responds to a series of questions, the system will observe the motions of the facial muscles and the rate at which their eyes blink. The Eye-Opening Ratio is used to determine the eye-opening in each frame. An approach that makes use of human behaviors to identify deception has been proposed here. In order to assess whether a candidate is being dishonest during an interrogation and come up with a conclusion about them, the system will do face detection and an eye blink calculation. During an interrogation session, the interrogator can use this result to assist them in doing an analysis of the blink threshold value and locating the lie. In the future, developments could include thermal monitoring, which would involve collecting video of the suspect while they are answering questions during interrogation. This video would then be used in conjunction with face detection and eye blink rate to provide a more in-depth analysis of the suspect's dishonest behavior.

Abstract

The existence of potholes on the roadways is one of the primary factors that contribute to the occurrence of crashes involving automobiles. In order to find a solution to this issue, a number of different strategies have been explored. Among these methods are the employment of vibration-based sensors, manual reporting to authorities, and laser imaging for the reconstruction of three-dimensional space. The high cost of installation, potential danger during detection, and lack of night vision are just a few of the drawbacks of some of these systems. Researching the feasibility and accuracy of using thermal imaging to the problem of pothole detection is, hence, the goal of this effort. We have collected enough data with pictures of potholes in different weather conditions and used augmentation techniques to it. After this, a novel technique to this problem area that utilises thermal imaging the convolutional neural networks (CNN) method of deep learning was implemented. Also included is a comparison of the researcher's own convolutional neural model to pretrained models. Positive outcomes will follow from this investigation, and it will aid in directing future studies into this novel use of thermal imaging for pothole detection.

Abstract

In today’s digital era, secure and efficient file transfer mechanisms are crucial as digital communication becomes increasingly prevalent. This paper presents a File Transfer Application that enables collaborative file sharing among multiple users over a network. The application uses a client-server architecture, integrating UDP for fast communication and TCP for secure and reliable file transfers. The server manages client registrations, maintains a dynamic table of active users, and broadcasts file availability updates, fostering real-time collaboration. Clients register with the server by sending their details and receive a list of online peers. Users can share files or request them directly from others, promoting peer-to-peer interaction. A simple command-line interface allows easy navigation, making the application accessible to users with varying technical backgrounds. File transfers utilize TCP to ensure data integrity, while UDP handles lightweight communication, minimizing latency. The system allows clients to disconnect gracefully, updating the server and other users accordingly. Tested in various environments, including simulations on a single machine, the application demonstrates its robustness in handling concurrent users effectively. This paper not only highlights key networking and socket programming concepts but also lays the groundwork for future enhancements like encryption and authentication, ensuring secure, scalable digital file sharing.

Abstract

The evaluation of an English essay is one of the most significant and difficult activities that is manually carried out by knowledgeable and capable instructors and faculty members. The advancement of science and technology has made it possible to automatically evaluate an English essay by employing techniques pertaining to natural language processing. For any given English essay, the intelligent system provides a generic evaluation as well as the topic/question correlation. This evaluation is based on the NLP multiple neural network model, which was used to build the system. The evaluation of essays according to worldwide standards is the primary contribution of this innovation. Any worldwide grading system, such as the Graduate Record Examination, the International English Language Testing System, etc., is qualified to make use of the grading standard. The algorithm gives users the opportunity to test their knowledge on a range of criteria, from the most basic to the most complicated, that are included in the scoring of an English essay.
