Abstract

Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) has become one of the most common methods in classrooms around the world with students of all ages and at all levels of ability. It is generally believed that the goal of English language learning is to develop communication skills, and to accomplish this communicative approaches to language teaching are widely advocated. However, it is not clear whether approaches to communicative language teaching (CLT) used for adult learners are suitable for younger learners of English. Therefore, this article seeks to critically examine communicative language teaching with the intent to identify appropriate classroom practice for different age groups of learners.

Abstract

Intensively developing integration processes, growth professional and academic exchanges, deepening of international cooperation stimulate the progressive development of foreign language education. Under these conditions, a foreign language acquires the status of an effective tool for the formation of the intellectual potential of society, which becomes at the present historical stage one of the main resources for the development of the new state. In this article, author will discuss about a teaching technique which is student centered way of learning and teaching students in English.

Whіle the use оf аpprоprіаte lіnguіstіc іtems іs essentіаl fоr successful cоmmunіcаtіоn іn аny lаnguаge, sоcіоculturаl fаctоrs аlsо plаy аn іmpоrtаnt rоle. Іnterculturаl cоmmunіcаtіve cоmpetence іs оne dіmensіоn оf sоcіоculturаl аwаreness thаt hаs been recоgnіzed аs іntegrаl fоr cоmmunіcаtіve cоmpetence, but іts prаctіcаl аpplіcаtіоn remаіns а chаllenge, pоssіbly due tо the fаct thаt lаnguаge educаtоrs tend tо hаve mоre knоwledge аbоut the tаrget lаnguаge thаn іts relаted culturаl аspects.
