Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media, peers, and parents' income on the consumptive behavior of students majoring in accounting at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta class of 2021. The research method uses a questionnaire distributed to selected respondents. Data analysis was carried out through regression techniques to assess the extent to which the three factors influenced students' consumptive behavior. The results of the study are expected to provide insight into the impact of social media, peer influence, and parents' income level on the tendency of accounting students to adopt consumptive behavior. The implications of this study can be used as a basis for the development of learning programs and interventions to increase students' awareness of their personal financial management.
