Abstract

It is hoped that driving teachers can play an important role in achieving the development of an independent learning program in moving schools. In the independent learning program, teachers are expected to be able to lead learning innovations according to student needs, utilize technology in learning, develop student creativity, and collaborate between teachers and related parties to improve the quality of learning. The problem formulation in this research is what is the role of driving teachers in the independent learning program at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu? This research aims to describe the role of driving teachers in the independent learning program at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Meureudu with the subjects of this research being 2 driving teachers. Data was collected through observation and interviews which were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the results of data analysis, the role of driving teachers in the independent learning program, such as encouraging increased student leadership, managing learning with technology, being a driver of the learning community, being a companion for learning development, and opening up space for discussion and collaboration is being implemented well.
