Abstract

Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic affects the readiness level of postpartum mothers in entering the new normal adaptation.The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in many reductions in general activities, both in access and quality, and a reduction in maternal health services. Objective: To know the relationship between the readiness level of postpartum mothers and the new normal adaptation of Covid-19 prevention at Bhayangkara Hospital Manado. Method: This research is a quantitative research that used the cross-sectional research design. The location of this research was Bhayangkara Manado Hospital. The population size for this survey was 43 respondents, the number of samples was 43, obtained using a non-probability sampling technique, consecutive sampling method. This study used the Spearman correlation test and data collectionusing a questionnaire sheet. Results: The results showed that the respondents' readiness for postpartum mothers were high (93.3%) in facing the new normal adaptation and respondents with high new normal adaptation (67.4%). The results of the bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test showed the value of p = 0.006. Conclusion: There was a significant effect between the level of readiness of postpartum mothers and the new normal adaptation of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention.

Abstract

Background: Reproductive health is often neglected by women. One of the factors is the lack of knowledge and awareness of reproductive health. Keeping the vulva clean is very important so that it is kept away from hazards that might interfere with reproductive health. Care for the outer genitalia (vulva) or commonly referred to as vulva hygiene is a behavior in which individuals can maintain the cleanliness of the outer genitals so that they remain clean and healthy and prevent the possibility of infection. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI adolescent girls at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency Method: This study uses a descriptive analytic/quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The population is all girl’s class XI. The number of samples is 74 respondents determined by total sampling technique. Results: This study used the Fisher Exact Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI female adolescents at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency, with a p-value of 0.042 <α = 0.07. Conclusions: From the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI female adolescents at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency.
