Abstract

Digital technology has created more ways to make communication accessible for people with hearing impairments. Still, there are a few sign language learning tools that combine several sign language systems in one platform. This study developed a rule-based Text-to-Sign Language Translator to support independent and flexible sign language learning. The application translates text in Latin and Hijaiyah transliteration into visual sign language, including BISINDO, SIBI, and Al-Quran Sign Language. The system uses a rule-based approach, including text normalization, tokenization, direct dataset matching, and visual rendering via images and video animations. It is a web-based application built with PHP, CodeIgniter, and MySQL. The system was tested with letter, word, and sentence inputs. There are 20 participants in the user testing. The results showed 94% accuracy for letter translation, 86% for word translation, and 80% for sentence translation. Then, it is with an average accuracy of about 87%. Users gave positive feedback on ease of use (90%), interface clarity (88%), and gesture comprehension (85%). The implications of this research suggest that the system is practical and affordable. Then, it is an accessible tool for sign language education, especially for those who need structured gesture mapping without machine learning.

Abstract

The government's preparation of free nutritious food menus represents a strategic initiative to improve public health, particularly for vulnerable populations such as underprivileged families. This study presents a web-based simulation system designed to assist the government in planning menus with processes that are not only quantitatively adequate but also aligned with balanced nutritional standards. The platform enables users to select food ingredients based on specific nutritional targets, including calories, carbohydrates, protein, and fat. To ensure that each stage—ingredient selection, nutrition calculation, validation, and result presentation—proceeds in a structured and efficient sequence, the system adopts a Finite State Automata (FSA) approach. Implementation results demonstrate that the system can accurately compute and visualize nutritional values using interactive pie charts, helping users evaluate the nutritional balance of selected menus. The key contribution of this study lies in integrating the FSA method to structure the menu preparation process, combined with interactive data visualization techniques to enhance user comprehension. This approach aims to improve public nutritional literacy and ensure that distributed meals deliver optimal health benefits.

Abstract

Microfinance has become an important strategy for expanding financial access to micro-entrepreneurs, who dominate the Indonesian economic structure. Since 2018, the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) has introduced the BAZNAS Microfinance Desa (BMD) program, which is based on zakat, infaq, and alms funds. This research aims to design and implement a BMD digital application to manage sharia financing based on al-Qardhul Hasan and productive grants, while also supporting transparent monitoring and reporting. The research method employs a Design Science Research (DSR) approach, involving the stages of problem identification, artifact design, application implementation, and program evaluation across several regional BMDs. The application supports the financing application process, Mustahiq eligibility assessment, fund disbursement, repayment recording, and a centralized reporting dashboard. The implementation results show that the BMD application can improve the efficiency of administrative processes, reduce the risk of non-performing financing, and accelerate the consolidation of Mustahiq data at the national level. This research contributes to the development of a more transparent, measurable, and sustainable zakat-based microfinance model. It is relevant to the national zakat digitalization agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages educational institutions to adopt digital solutions to improve administrative efficiency and service quality. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the acceptance and use of Administration Application (AdmApp), a digital financial application implemented at Cahaya Al-Qur’an Islamic Boarding School, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. This quantitative study involved 29 staff respondents using a total sampling technique. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that Performance Expectancy (PE) significantly influences Behavioral Intention (BI) (β = 0.440; p = 0.006), Behavioral Intention significantly influences Use Behavior (UB) (β = 0.504; p = 0.000), and Facilitating Conditions (FC) significantly influence Use Behavior (UB) (β = 0.466; p = 0.000). Meanwhile, Effort Expectancy (EE) and Social Influence (SI) do not significantly influence Behavioral Intention. The research model explains 60.6% of the variance in Behavioral Intention and 83.2% of the variance in Use Behavior. Despite the limited sample size, the model demonstrates substantial explanatory power in understanding technology acceptance behavior. These findings indicate that perceived usefulness and the availability of technical support are important factors in the adoption of digital administrative systems in pesantren environments.
