Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between family social support and self-confidence in early adolescents. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between family social support and self-confidence. The stronger the family social support, the higher the level of self-confidence, and vice versa. Subjects in this study amounted to 73 junior high school students. This research uses cluster random sampling technique. The data collection method uses a scale, namely the Family Social Support Scale and the Self-Confidence Scale. Data analysis in this study was assisted by SPSS 21.00 with Spearman Rho analysis. The results of the analysis of this study are????????????= 0.195 p = 0.049 (p˂0.05) so there is a positive relationship between family social support and self-confidence. This shows that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The effective contribution of family social support with self-confidence is 3.8025% and the rest is influenced by other variables not disclosed in this study.
