Abstract

 Bangka Belitung Province has the highest rate of early marriage in Serdang Village, South Bangka Regency, with 486 people. The impact of early marriage is pregnancy at a young age which carries the risk of giving birth to a premature baby, low birth weight, bleeding during childbirth, hypertension, as well as maternal and infant death. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of public advertising on early marriage among teenagers. The method used in this study is a systematic review involving articles from 2013 to March 2023. The article search source was the Google Scholar database, using the keywords: teenagers, early marriage, public advertising. Furthermore, 6 articles were obtained that met the criteria. The choice of materials used was an important study regarding the influence of public advertising on knowledge about early marriage among teenagers. The study results showed that an advertising message was a strategy to approach the target audience. The same message that was repeated over and over again will eventually result in the message being remembered. Repetition of advertising messages about early marriage can have an effect in attracting attention. It is concluded that feelings of interest, desire and encourage targets to take action such as the values contained in the advertisement.Keywords: teenagers; early-age marriage; public advertising ABSTRAK Provinsi Bangka Belitung memiliki angka pernikahan dini tertinggi di Desa Serdang Kabupaten Bangka Selatan sebanyak 486 jiwa. Dampak dari pernikahan dini yaitu kehamilan di usia muda yang berisiko melahirkan bayi prematur, berat bayi lahir rendah, pendarahan saat persalinan, hipertensi, juga kematian ibu dan bayi. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh iklan masyarakat terhadap pernikahan dini pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah systematic review dengan melibatkan artikel-artikel mulai 2013 sampai Maret 2023. Sumber pencarian artikel adalah database Google Scholar, menggunakan kata kunci:  remaja, pernikahan dini, iklan masyarakat. Selanjutnya didapatkan 6 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Pemilihan bahan yang digunakan merupakan kajian penting mengenai pengaruh iklan masyarakat terhadap pengetahuan tentang pernikahan dini pada remaja. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa suatu pesan iklan merupakan suatu strategi untuk mendekati khalayak sasaran. Suatu pesan yang sama yang senantiasa diulangulang pada akhirnya akan berakibat diingatnya pesan tersebut. Pengulangan pesan iklan tentang pernikahan dini dapat berpengaruh dalam menarik perhatian. Disimpulkan bahwa rasa tertarik, keinginan dan mendorong sasaran untuk melakukan tindakan seperti nilai yang terkandung dalam iklan.Kata kunci: remaja; pernikahan dini; iklan masyarakat

Abstract

Introduction: The first five years of a child's life are a time of peak development. According to the global prevalence, 52.9 million children under the age of five suffer from developmental problems. Parental involvement in monitoring their children's development will rise if parents have greater education, have a high level of knowledge, higher socioeconomic level, income, and the mother does not work. In addition, toddlers with good nutritional status will optimise their development. Objective: This literature review aims to identify how maternal characteristics and nutritional status impact toddler development. Method: This study is a systematic review by searching the literature through Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed. Articles in Indonesian and English published from 2016 to 2022. Article searches used keywords or Boolean operators (AND - OR), some of the keywords used to search the literature included combinations of “development” OR “education” OR “income”’ OR “knowledge” OR “occupation” OR “nutritional status”, “education” AND “development”, “income” AND “development”, “knowledege” AND “development”, “occupation” AND “development”, “nutritional sataus” AND “development”. Result: The results of this study showed that maternal characteristics such as education level, knowledge, occupation, and family income, as well as nutritional status affect the development of toddlers. Conclusion: Knowing the interaction between maternal role and nutritional status can help optimise the development of toddlers according to their age.
