Abstract

Masalah insomnia pada lansia menyebabkan gangguan kemampuan intelektual, motivasi yang rendah dan ketidakstabilan emosional.Terapi lavender dianggap bermanfaat dan di kenal membantu meringankan nyeri, sakit kepala, insomnia, melawan kelelahan, stress dan meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Kebarauan penelitian ini karena melihat pengaruh pemberian aromatherapy lavender terhadap tingkat insomnia pada lansia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian aroma therapy lavender terhadap tingkat insomnia pada lansia. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain quasi eksperiment dengan two group pre dan post test with control design. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 130 orang dengan teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 26 respoden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada kelompok perlakuan di peroleh yang mengalami insomnia berat  dengan keluhan sulit tidur secara terus menerus sebanyak 9 responden (69,2%), pada kelompok kontrol yang mengalami insomnia berat sebanyak 6 responden (42,6%). Setelah diberikan perlakuan yang tidak mengalami insomnia sebanyak 10 responden (76,9%) dan pada kelompok kontrol yang mengalami insomnia berat sebanyak 7 responden (53,8%), hasil analisis data menunjukan nilai pValue=0,0350,05. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh pemberian aroma therapy lavender terhadap tingkat insomnia pada lansia.Kata Kunci : Lansia; Insomnia dan Aroma Therapy Lavender. AbstractThe problem of insomnia in the elderly causes impaired intellectual ability, low motivation, and emotional instability. Lavender therapy is considered beneficial and is known to help relieve pain, headaches, insomnia, fight fatigue and stress and increase endurance. The novelty of this research is because it looks at the effect of giving lavender aromatherapy on the level of insomnia in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving lavender aroma therapy on the level of insomnia in the elderly. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with two groups of pre and post-test with a control design. The total population is 130 people with a sampling technique using purposive sampling with a total sample of 26 respondents. The results showed that in the treatment group, 9 respondents (69.2%) experienced severe insomnia with complaints of difficulty sleeping. In the control group, 6 respondents (42.6%). After being given treatment, there were 10 respondents (76.9%) who did not experience insomnia and 7 respondents (53.8%). This study concludes that there is an effect of giving lavender aroma therapy on the level of insomnia in the elderly.

Abstract

The elderly are someone who has reached the age of 60 years and above. The elderly group is a vulnerable age group. In this age range, there is a variety of risks of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) caused by degenerative factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, and cancer. Generally, the increase in the incidence of some of these diseases tends to increase with age, so it is more experienced by the elderly. This study aims to find out the picture of early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the elderly in the working area of the Bongomeme Health Center, Gorontalo Regency. The population in this study is all elderly people aged 60 years in the working area of the Bongomeme Health Center, Gorontalo Regency, which amounts to 3200 elderly people. The sampling technique in this study uses the non probability sampling method with the puposive sampling technique, the sampling of this study uses the 10% slovin formula , the sample size is 97 respondents. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research with an analytical descriptive research model with an observational approach. The results showed that the status of NCDs showed that most of the elderly were detected to have Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), namely 59 respondents (60.8%), while 38 respondents (39.2%) were not detected to have NCDs. The most common type of NCD found in the elderly is hypertension, followed by diabetes mellitus, heart disease, chronic respiratory disease, and stroke. The conclusion in this study is that most of the elderly in the Bongomeme Health Center area, Gorontalo Regency are detected with NCDs, so it is necessary to strengthen early detection and prevention efforts in a sustainable manner.
