Abstract

This study aims to identify the current condition of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in Jumput and to explore the various factors contributing to its lack of significant development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the research conducted in Jumput Village, Sokosewu District, Bojonegoro Regency. Informants were selected using the maximum variation sampling technique to capture diverse perspectives. Four informants were involved, including the BUMDes leadership and staff, with the Village Secretary serving as the key informant and the BUMDes leader as the main informant. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and field observations. The analysis was carried out interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The process involved filtering raw data, organizing information into narrative or graphical forms, and verifying conclusions using additional data. The results revealed several inhibiting factors to the development of BUMDes Jumput, including a lack of social integration, low community participation, weak leadership, poor conflict management, limited access to resources and information, and insufficient support from both governmental and non-governmental institutions. To overcome these obstacles, strategic steps are recommended such as strengthening social cohesion, enhancing community involvement, improving leadership quality, implementing effective conflict resolution mechanisms, increasing access to resources, and fostering stronger collaboration with relevant stakeholders. These efforts are expected to enhance the operational effectiveness of BUMDes and contribute to the overall welfare of the village community.
