Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of resource-based learning on students' learning independence, assess its impact on digital literacy, and identify the challenges and strategies involved in its implementation. It also offers recommendations for educators to improve their competencies in managing learning processes effectively in the digital era. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to investigate the application of resource-based learning in senior high schools (SMA) in Kapuas Regency, with a focus on enhancing students' digital literacy. The research involved three senior high schools, with the participation of 10 teachers, 15 students, and 3 school principals. Data was gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, which were then analysed using a thematic approach. The findings indicate that resource-based learning significantly contributes to enhancing students' independence, managerial skills, and digital literacy. Both principals, teachers, and students reported improvements in students' abilities to access, evaluate, and utilise information from diverse sources, including digital tools and technologies. Furthermore, resource-based learning positively influences students' technological skills, equipping them for future challenges. The study concludes that resource-based learning should be implemented more broadly across schools. Key recommendations include focusing on improving teacher competencies, enhancing technological infrastructure, and ensuring reliable internet access. Effective implementation of this approach requires strong support from all stakeholders, including educators, school leaders, and parents, to create an inclusive and productive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore innovative learning media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applicable to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in public schools and to evaluate their impact on the quality of teaching and learning processes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicated that ICT-based media, such as interactive videos, Islamic educational applications, and e-learning platforms, enhance students’ understanding of PAI materials and encourage active engagement in learning. Challenges included limited technological infrastructure in schools and insufficient teacher training in ICT utilization. To address these issues, teacher training, improved technological facilities, and support from various stakeholders, including the government, are recommended. This study concludes that ICT-based learning media innovations have significant potential to improve the effectiveness of PAI instruction, provided they are supported by adequate preparation and resources.
