Abstract

In the international arena, Indonesia itself is known for its most famous regional cultural icons, such as Balinese culture for example. This makes designers who are in the fashion world continue to compete to create new innovations by using traditional or regional clothing as well as traditional fabrics from the region. The innovations carried out are quite diverse, one example is modifying clothing with innovations in decorative trims such as corsage applications. The process of compiling product works includes compiling/designing ideas, having literature studies, making moodboards, making designs, and making products.Dalam kancah internasional, Indonesia sendiri dikenal dengan ikonik-ikonik budaya daerah yang paling terkenal, seperti budaya Bali misalnya. Hal tersebut membuat para designer yang berkecimpung di dunia mode terus berlomba-lomba untuk menciptakan inovasi baru pada baik dengan menggunakan busana tradisional atau daerah maupun kain khas dari daerah. Adapun inovasi yang dilakukan cukup beragam, salah satu contoh adalah memodifikasi busana dengan inovasi pada decorative trims seperti aplikasi korsase. Proses penyusunan karya produk diantaranya menyusun/merancang gagasan ide, memiliki studi literatur, pembuatan moodboard, pembuatan desain, dan pembuatan produk.

Abstract

The iceberg (Iceberg) is a large chunk of freshwater ice that has been split from glaciers or ice shelf and floating open water. Since density (density) of ice is lower than sea water, generally 90% of the volume of icebergs is below sea level. Ruffle is a wrinkled or pleated cloth wider than the frills generating floating waves attached to the fabric that produces dimensions and waves on the decorated part also can be combined with many piles and cut in various ways and sizes, including ruffle into fabric manipulation techniques. Because of the uniqueness of the iceberg form the authors are inspired to apply the form of an iceberg characterized by a smaller volume above the sea surface ie the peak and the greater volume of iceberg beneath the surface of the sea against the exploration of party fashions with ruffle techniques. The purpose of designing fashion products at this fashion seminar is to meet one of the tasks of seminars education education courses and also has experience in applying the beauty of the iceberg threatened to melt because of the earth warming of party dress with ruffle techniques. The method used is a project based learning consisting of several stages, including finding sources of ideas, searching the literature, and conducting experiments that began from the making of moodboard, fashion design, and the manufacture of fashion products. The expected findings of this design are the successful application of icebergs to the exploration of party fashions with ruffle techniques.

Abstract

Energy crisis and environmental destruction of human creation, reviving the thinking about the diversity of existing ecosystems in Indonesia. The diversity of ecosystems that can enhance the natural beauty of Indonesia, one of the decomposer organism is Ganoderma Applanatum Mushroom. Ganoderma applanatum in the ecosystem acts as a decomposer or decomposing dead organism that is capable of maintaining an organic nutrient supply which is essential for plant growth. Structurally Ganoderma Applanatum has a very unique form, from here came the thought to make a fashion work by exploring the shapes of ganoderma applanatum in the existing party dress. Visualization of Ganoderma Applanatum is represented of Ruffle that produces the details of the shape of the bend. This impression represents of Ganoderma Applanatum. Ruffle is applied to the evening party dress at the peplum top. The method used is Project Based Learning supported by literature study and documentation. The product results in addition to creating an evening party dress by exploring of Ganoderma Applanatum Mushroom as decorative trim, also expected to bring Indonesian fashion more contemporary.Keywords: ganoderma mushroom, ruffle, evening party dress

Abstract

ToraJa adalah salah satu daerah yang ada di Indonesia terletak di provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Disetiap daerah atau suku yang ada di Indonesia pasti ada adat istiadat atau budaya sendiri yang berbeda beda. Toraja juga merupakan salah satu daerah yang ada di Indonesia dengan adat istiadat dan budaya yang sangat unik. Salah satu ciri khas Toraja terdapat pada kain tenun khas Toraja. Kain tenun khas Toraja memiliki berbagai bentuk motif dan warna, setiap motif dan warna pada kain tenun Toraja terdapat arti dan maknanya tersendiri. Bukan hanya kain tenun saja yang menjadi bagian dari keunikan Toraja namun, juga terdapat rumah adat Toraja, tarian adat, upacara adat dan lain lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan revitalisasi penggunaan kain motif Toraja sebagai inovasi baru dalam menciptakan busana pesta Dengan look feminim romantic style. Menciptakan busana dengan desain modern yang terbuat dari kain daerah merupakan salah satu cara untuk melestarikan kebudayaan yang ada di Indonesia. Karena dengan terciptanya terciptanya busana tersebut banyak yang akan mengunakan dan tertarik untuk memakainnya. Kain yang dipakai untuk menciptakan busana pesta adalah kain tenun khas Toraja dan menggunakan desain seperti siluet dan hiasan yang terinspirasi dari adat istiadat, budaya dan keunikan yang ada di daerah Sulawesi Selatan (Toraja).
