Abstract

Recompense Waste Management: Automated Waste Segregation and Web-Based Notifications provides a novel solution to the growing problem in the field of waste management. The system aimed to enhance the segregation and disposal of waste provides automation and a technological approach to it making it efficient, sustainable, and accountable. Functionality The main function is automatically sorting waste, identifying biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, rejecting expired waste. Smart segregation can be simplified by using smart segregation bins with advanced sensor technology. "Real time update on the bins status is provided through the web-based notification system, which allows enumerators to keep an eye on how much waste the bins have remotely and receive instant notifications for full bins or system errors. This minimizes the necessity for human interventions, resulting in better overall operational efficiency. Methods of evaluation included surveys and rules for system users with statistical analysis of responses. The study also evaluated the system’s use in user studies conducted under controlled conditions. Not only does this inventive solution combat the logistical issues surrounding waste management, but it also promotes recycling and the correct disposal of items through efficient sorting.

Abstract

The Aloran Water Level Monitoring System was developed to enhance disaster preparedness by integrating real-time monitoring, data logging, and warning mechanisms. Utilizing ultrasonic sensors, Arduino UNO R3, and ESP8266 microcontrollers, the system measured water levels and transmitted data to a local web server. A GSM module sent real-time alerts, while warning lights activated at critical thresholds. Testing confirmed high accuracy in water level measurement, effective real-time data logging, and timely notifications, earning a 4.42 general weighted mean (“Very Good”). The system proved reliable and cost-effective for flood monitoring and disaster risk reduction. Recommendations include incorporating solar-powered modules for remote deployment, cloud-based servers for broader accessibility, and predictive analytics for improved flood forecasting.

Abstract

The rapid growth of online shopping has led to an increase in parcel deliveries, causing recurring problems such as missed deliveries and inefficiencies in last-mile logistics, especially when recipients are not at home. This study developed BilinBox, a solar-powered smart home parcel receiver designed to ensure safe, convenient, and sustainable parcel handling. BilinBox integrates secure authentication using RFID and QR code scanning, automated locking mechanisms, IoT connectivity, and real-time monitoring, while promoting sustainability through solar energy use, supporting SDG 7, 9, 11, and 12. Its performance and software quality were evaluated using ISO/IEC 25010 standards through structured questionnaires administered to twenty (20) online shoppers and five (5) delivery riders. Results showed that online shoppers rated the system with an overall mean of 4.825 (“Excellent”), while delivery riders rated most criteria 5.0 (“Excellent”), with portability receiving 4.71, yielding an overall weighted mean of 4.825 (“Excellent”). These findings demonstrate that BilinBox is effective, reliable, and user-friendly, providing a secure and efficient solution for last-mile parcel delivery. Recommendations for further improvement include increasing box capacity, enhancing solar charging efficiency, enabling full remote monitoring, and integrating payment features for added convenience.

Abstract

: Inventory management in academic institutions frequently faces challenges including delays, inaccurate records, and a lack of transparency. To address these issues, this study developed SIMS: A QR Code–Enabled System for Locating, Monitoring, and Managing Office Supplies at USTP Panaon Campus. The system aims to improve supply monitoring, enhance visibility of custodianship, and provide a structured process for faculty requests. Using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle, the system was designed and evaluated through a mixed-method approach. Quantitative data were gathered using ISO/IEC 9126-based evaluation forms, while qualitative feedback was collected through interviews. Six respondents, including administrators and faculty, assessed the system’s functionality, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability, security, and reliability. Results showed excellent ratings across all criteria, with weighted means of 5.0 for administrators and 4.90 for faculty, indicating strong performance in monitoring, usability, and security. These findings confirm that SIMS significantly improves operational efficiency, reduces human error, and promotes transparency in supply management. The study concludes that integrating QR code technology with web-based inventory systems provides a sustainable and scalable solution for institutional resource management. It is recommended to enhance the system with a mobile application for QR scanning during field operations and cloud-based backup for improved resilience.

Abstract

Small Internet Service Providers often struggle with manual processes, delayed updates, and limited network automation. To address these challenges, this study developed Corelink, a web-based broadband identity and management system that improves subscriber management, network monitoring, and ISP operations through automated billing, real-time monitoring, bandwidth control, and organized workflows. Developed using the Iterative Incremental Model, the system was evaluated through a mixed-method approach using ISO/IEC 9126 criteria and user interviews. Results showed excellent performance, with administrators and users giving high ratings across all quality attributes, confirming that Corelink enhances efficiency, accuracy, and security. The study supports SDG 8 and SDG 9 by promoting efficient digital operations and strengthening broadband infrastructure.
