Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has not been fully integrated into the elementary school learning process, particularly in developing students' writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia. One of the challenges encountered is students' low understanding of punctuation use, which affects the quality of their written work. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a punctuation board media based on the Manik Angkeran story in enhancing elementary school students' writing skills. This is a development study employing the ADDIE model. The research subjects included one content expert, one media expert, one classroom teacher, and 26 third-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through questionnaires, writing skill tests, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis and inferential statistical tests (t-test). The results indicated that the developed learning media fell into the very good category and proved to be effective. The effectiveness of the media was confirmed through the t-test result with a value of tcount 15.504 > ttable 2.060 at a 5% significance level, indicating a significant difference between students' pretest and posttest writing skills scores. In conclusion, the punctuation board media based on the Manik Angkeran story is effective in improving the writing skills of elementary school students. Its implication suggests that this media can serve as an innovative alternative in teaching Bahasa Indonesia, particularly in making punctuation learning enjoyable and meaningful.

Abstract

The lack of variety in teaching media used in learning has a negative impact on student motivation and understanding. This is certainly one of the factors that affect students' low learning outcomes. This study aims to develop e-LKPD on Indonesian language content on the use of capital letters for grade V elementary school students. This type of research is a development research using the ADDIE model. The subject of the development is e-LKPD and the object of the development is the design, validity, practicality and effectiveness of the developed e-LKPD. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires and multiple choice tests. The analysis methods used include quantitative descriptive analysis, qualitative, and inferential statistical analysis using paired sample t-test (dependent sample t-test). The results showed e-LKPD on Indonesian language content in the form of a website developed with Liveworksheet. The feasibility of e-LKPD is shown from the results of the learning content/material test obtained a percentage of 93.75% (very good), instructional design expert test 93.75% (very good), learning media expert test 92.5% (very good), practitioner test 93.3 (very good), individual trial 92.5% (very good), and small group trial 93.6% (very good). The t-test results obtained tcount = 16.880 and ttable = 2.064. Thus, the results of this study indicate that digital LKPD is feasible and effective in using Indonesian language content on the use of capital letters in grade V elementary school. The implication of this research is that it can improve students' understanding and support learning that is more interactive and in accordance with the development of educational technology. Therefore, teachers need to utilize e-LKPD as an innovative learning media that can support the learning process optimally.

Abstract

The critical thinking ability of students in elementary schools is still low. This is because teachers do not use learning models that can stimulate students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Somatic auditory visual intellectual learning model assisted by mystery card media on fourth grade students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study was all 316 fourth grade students. The research sample of 59 people was determined using the cluster random sampling technique, 29 people in class IV B as the experimental group and 30 people in class IV B as the control group. Science knowledge competency data were collected using the test method, the usual multiple choice objective type. The research instrument used a multiple choice test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the hypothesis test showed that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that the somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual learning model assisted by mystery cards has a significant effect on the science knowledge competency of fourth grade students. The implications of this study are expected to be a new reference for teachers in implementing the SAVI learning model in the learning process.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often considered difficult and less engaging, particularly in the topic of whole numbers, which affects students’ knowledge competence. This study aims to examine the effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model assisted by whole number puzzle media on the mathematical knowledge competence of third-grade students. This research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically a quasi-experimental design. The experimental design used is the Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design. The population of this study consisted of all third-grade classes in one cluster, totaling 195 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The sample comprised third-grade students from two schools, divided into control and experimental groups. The data collection method and instrument used were mathematics knowledge competence tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results indicated that students who learned using the STAD model assisted by puzzle media achieved significantly higher learning outcomes compared to students who received conventional instruction. The implication of this study highlights the importance of employing engaging learning models to enhance student involvement in elementary schools.
